I remember, before I retired, we had all the desktop and instrument computers in my labs running [email protected]
for years; processing radio telescope data and looking for ET.
Protein folding was done on the super-computer clusters.
SETI is out of Berkeley. It is not clear to me who is running this protein show. It doesn't look like it is University sponsored.
