PC Media Server Placement

Have a dumb question is okay to put my tower PC close to my front tower speaker? It would be about 6 inches from my tower speaker which is a PowerSoundAudio MTM-210T.
This will be my media server which has 5 WD Red 8TB 5400 rpm drives.

Thanks for any input

Yes, that's fine. You just don't want a CRT TV near a speaker like that.

Thanks for the input was hoping it would be okay, was kinda worried about vibration when I am playing music extra loud but that is only once or twice a week.

Is that a silent PC? If not, why would you place it near a speaker? During quiet passages, you're going to hear the buzzing fan noise.

If it isn't silent, I'd try to place it away from my speakers. Ideally, in another room.

I also have a media server. It's located in a backroom in my basement, right next to my modem, router, and switches. I have a fairly basic home network with a few PCs connected via Ethernet.

Well it has 4 8TB WD Reds 5400rpm and 4 120mm Noctua fans. I really don't have anywhere else to put except in the room with the rest of my equipment. The closest place is a room behind my rack but then would need at least a 20 network cable to get back to the router.

I'd buy a nice ethernet cable from monoprice.com. They're good quality and pretty cheap.

Those HDD's will be spun down (off) most the time and only spinning when in use.

A 20 foot network cable doesn't sound like it should be a problem btw.

Yeah I guess that as well as vibration.
Luckily I was able to move the tower (Fractal R6) to the right side of the rack against the wall. I swapped out my huge rack for a smaller foot print Salamander Archtye.
And had more room than I thought.

Do you have a pic of your setup?

Thanks for your input.
