5504 drive in hs2000

I have a 5504 that the fan quit working. The drive was recently replaced and works well. Can I put the drive in an old HS2000 without re-imaging?

In addition, the HS2000 can only use 137 GB maximum of a hard drive: http://rtvpatch.sourceforge.net/faq.html.

after a lengthy delay i discovered the fan i was to send to arvy does not work either------soooo---more poking around i found this link http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.ht...p%2FB007D7VSWW and there we go the exact fan available at amazon.com. and if u get their card u can get the fan free with money left towards another purchase. this link was provided by replayrob in this thread https://www.avsforum.com/forum/27-rep...-rtv5500s.html a highly knowledgable member---d

A third RTV of mine, 2 55xx and a Panasonic Showstopper, has gone belly up within a year's time as of today. All died with a Fan Lock Detected, please consult the manual" screen message. I've yet to find a usable 2 pin fan replacement anywhere. It's been a great run over 14 years. There's one more I have, a 5xxx, that's still in service but without any others, networking is obviously impossible and networking was a very important feature for me. In any case, I'm willing to donate any or all of them to someone's just cause for parts. All I ask is the shipping charge. Location is the greater Los Angeles area. Message me if interested. They may go to the local high school's electronics recycling fest soon.

Wow are people still using RTVPatch? We released that back in like 1998. Wonder how many downloads it's had over, what, 17 years?
