It's with great sadness that I report that Henry Donzis (hdonzis) died last Wednesday. He spent countless hours helping people both here at AVS and over at Planet Replay and was a major contributor to both WiRNS and LaHo. He will be missed.

Certainly a loss for the ReplayTV community as well as his family friends of course.

I was thinking of driving to San Antonio or meeting him halfway for a face2face dinner and a beer later this fall.

hope you'll allow me to intrude, and commiserate.

I got the email from Henry's son Saturday. I've been 'offline' with pc and network issues, preparing for a business trip tomorrow, and etc, so I'm just now taking a moment.

Henry was one of, if not the, greatest contributor to what we had ReplayTV wise. Was proud to have 'known' him virtually, worked with him (and Archie / poopli) and Mikeyboy, etc.

It's been ~4 years since I unplugged my last RTV in favor of WMC7 + Xbox360's (with 2 boys in the house that was nearly a nobrainer...) but now, of course, the Microsoft switch over from Zap2it to Rovi has caused unlimited consternation... But that's way off topic.

If there is anything I can do - hosting his files, domains, etc., please let me know. The least I can do to repay all he did to help this community! PM through this forum or email me directly - bigjohn /at stegenga dot / net

Henry helped me numerous times with Wirns and my RTVs. He was a kind, caring, and knowledgeable man. I am truly saddened to hear the news. It is a loss for everyone. RIP, Henry.

His son reached out to me to see if anyone knew all the latest that henry was involved in. I think he wants to help or at least transfer whatever information he has into capable hands.

I, too, am mourning his loss. Regrettably, I've been off-the-map for some time, but having just learned about this I am deeply saddened as well. My heartfelt condolences go out to Henry's family and friends. Henry Donzis was truly an outstanding individual and his presence in this world will be dearly missed.

I too have been off the map for some time and just happened to check in here to see what might be going on in the RTV community.

Sadden to see the Henry Donzis RIP heading as I initially thought perhaps moving on from RTV community.
Truly bummed and belated condolences to family friends and anyone else the actually knew him for the loss.
