That predated MTV AND StarTrek. Spock was the Duran Duran of his time. I was falling in love with one of the girls until the ear scene.

great post

I have not had my coffee yet this morning, so I am going to pretend that was a very, very disturbing dream.

No, but it would be really bad sign if you returned to it on a regular basis because you found it highly entertaining.

What is it with Nimoy and the turtleneck/sportcoat combo? I guess when you find something you like stay with it.

I think even non-Lord of the Rings fans would find this as disturbing as the Lord of the Rings fans.

AFAICT, the album on which the ballad appears was released in 1968, and ST ran from 1966 to 1969, so he was established as Spock before this happened. Not sure how long after the album came out that they made this, probably close to it.

It stands to reason, otherwise where did the Vulcan ears on his co-conspirators come from?

I have that Nimoy album!

The thing I love most about deadlines is the wonderful WHOOSHing sound they make as they go past.

I am afraid to go to sleep now.

Although I should also mention that the ears have not deterred my affections for the any of the Bilbettes (as I think I will call them).

Let the bidding frenzy begin...

http://cgi.[insert ebaydotcom he...6&category=306

(I forgot about the ebay links thing - sorry)

You know you want one too...

I sort of figured since the album cover has the Spock picture on it, it was "post-Spock" or at least during ST production.

Lets say that the "Bilbettes" were between 18 and 20 when it was recorded. Alrighty, lets assume that it was recorded in 1968. So the object of your affections are now between the ages of 54-56.
