I've never seen the inside of an ss2710, so I have no idea how the tuner is mounted, but generally speaking, if you are going to de-solder and replace the tuner, you're in for a lot of work. Tuners have around 10 connections (I don't remember the # exactly) to the PCB. Cut the old tuner away from the board, then just desolder the bits of wire that were left attached. Soldering the new tuner in is going to be a PITA unless you clear the "holes" in the PCB - if you don't, it'll never mount level and you'll never get the thing attached correctly. Use a grounded soldering iron and remember two things:1) circuit components hate heat and 2) everything you're working with is a circuit component.
