HDMI source isolation(distribution) device?

Does anyone know of a black box that will isolate the HDMI source from all other outputs to monitors, etc.?

Using active splitters I have seems let/cause my HDMI source to change/corrupt based on different displays and devices.

Like maybe a multiple output device used in a retail store to demo displays.

Not quite sure what you are asking...but an AV Matrix switch is what retail stores demo with. Allows to choose which source goes to which output(s).

I'm asking about an isolation device because when I plug an HDMI recorder into one output of my HDMI splitter, my 40" display blinks off momentarily and returns on with a 5 inch wide vertical black bar at each end.

So I thought if I could isolate my HDMI devices it may solve this. Can't imagine how one device can affect another in this manner.

The recorder is causing the source to downrez because it won't pass HDCP (the copy protection protocol). Working as expected.

This might do what you want: https://www.amazon.com/GEFEN-EXT-HD-.../dp/B00MN3KKK2

Thanks FlyingDiver I was hoping that wasn't the problem.

Its kind of odd that everything works at the moment with a new 1x2 splitter I have.
