Which cable?

I’m a DirecTV subscriber who doesn’t normally watch network TV, but I like to watch the golf tournaments on CBS and NBC, which networks are blacked out now because of a dispute.

I can stream either network on my iPad, and I have an HDMI jack on the front of my Yamaha RX-A830.

If I find a cable that will connect the iPad to the AVR, will I be able to display iPad content through the AVR to my TV, and if so, which cable should I choose.

Finally, in a perfect world, I’d be able to record the network content for viewing later. Is that possible?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Have you tried a cheap OTA antenna yet? Should be able to catch the major networks, and then some.

See fol. magazine articles:
https://www.pcmag.com/article/331956...pad-to-your-tv
https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-conn...cables-1994480

If you need more info re any of these methods, Google Search for the KEYWORDS found in the articles....

To determine what sort of TV Antenna MIGHT be suitable, enter your Address into www.tvfool.com and then COPY/PASTE the Results URL (Webaddress at top of Web Browser) into a post so we can see it.
