Simple hdmi arc amp?

So basically, I’m a retired audio nerd. Basically have a family and stopped caring about home theatre. Last system I built was in 2010.

I have a beautiful display (vizio p65) and I’d like a little better sound to match. And maybe even as a bonus be able to play audio with it through bluetooth.

My catch is I don’t want another remote. I don’t want a universal remote either. I just want to use my simple TV remote to control the volume. I also have all my equipment hidden in a closet behind the wall the tv is mounted on.

I also am not looking for a bass heavy sound bar. My wife and kids are super light sleepers.
The perfect sound I’m looking for would be say, a nice in wall speaker with a 6.5” driver and a tweeter. I do not need 5.1, 2 channel is just fine.

I pretty much know any soundbar with sub I buy the low frequencies will be too low and they will be horrible with the sub off. None of them seem to have decent midrange drivers unless you spend a lot of money, and they still probably won’t sound as good as a pair of $100 bookshelfs on a 2 channel amp. I just don’t care enough to spend big bucks.

Basically, is there a reasonably priced 2 channel amp out there, I can hide in a closet, will turn off and on automatically or i suppose when it receives a signal, and will be able to control the volume with the tv remote?

In a perfect world, someone would share a link to an 50x2 amp with an hdmi arc input for $75

Basically i simply want the processing and amp part of the soundbar, but let me use my own speakers.

Any suggestions?
