Thanks for posting your link oldsteve. I've only seen one other review and I'll put the link for it at the end of my posting. Pretty sure I'll get these to make my system 7.1 (from 5.1) but I just want to read a few reviews first. I know, 45 day return policy, but I don't want to hassle with that if the didn't work out for me. I'm 99.9 % sure I'd keep them as I have an SVS PB12Plus sub and love it.

It still works for me as well. But the exact same article is on a different website. Hope this one will work for those who can't access it. Good luck.

Any consensus on using these as rear speakers in 5.1? Any better or more powerful than prime satellites?

The specs on the two are extremely similar. Driver sizes are the same. The Elevation has a lower frequency response (69 versus 55 Hz).

I would definitely opt for the Elevation due to the flexibility in placement, orientation, or use. That is, if the price isn't a problem.

SVS prime elevations look great! If i was to pick these or ceiling speakers; which would you think are best? i know the SVS would be easier to install.
