Middleton, WI- Intelix LLC, U.S. manufacturer of audio/video equipment and software, recently announced the release of the V3AD, a revolutionary balun which transmits hi-definition (HDTV) component video and digital audio over standard Cat 5 cabling.

"The V3AD was developed for the increasing number of AV contractors who require long distance HDTV distribution," states Steve Cohan, Intelix C.E.O.

Used in pairs, Intelix V3AD baluns transmit digital audio and 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i/p component or RGB video up to 1,000 feet (distance varies depending on resolution) over inexpensive Cat 5 cabling—without the need for a power supply.

Intelix offers the broadest line of baluns in the pro AV marketplace, including solutions for audio, multiple formats of video, VGA, and DVI. In addition to baluns, Intelix manufactures an extensive line of serial controlled mic/line, matrix, room-combine, and automatic mixers. Complete product information is available from the Intelix web site,, or by calling 1-866-4-MATMIX.
