Updates:
April 29, 2005
Last night I hooked up a Sasem OnAir USB HDTV tuner to the laptop I have in the den. When we installed the bar we ran two coax jacks so I was able to split my antenna and finally use one of the jacks. It makes for a pretty clean install. Sasem's software needs a little work - but it's a pretty cool device.

April 2005
Been playing with the beta software for the Roku and Mplayer software. Getting close to being a very useful device. Can pretty reliable stream DVD's over my network now with little audio synch issues.

January 2005
All quiet lately. Since my last update I've replaced the hard drives in both my RelpayTV's and had my H659 replaced under warranty by Harmony.
But, it's been nice actually having everything work properly the last couple of months.

October 2004
Purchased and installed a new modded Xbox. Came with Xbox Media Cener so I can use it as a ReplayTV thin client. Also came with Gentoox installed so I can browse the internet with it - but not very pretty or useful...but cool. Has 120 GB hard drive, so I can load lots of games. Also have it hooked up to a digital optical input on my receiver fror 5.1 surround sound. Overall very cool.

September 2004
Had to replace bulb in TV

August 2004
Master Bedroom complete
Roku HD1000 installed in Den

July 6, 2004
Had Chuck Williams come down from D.C. and do a calibration on my Sammy. Did a great job. Calibrated the DVI, Component and S-Video Inputs. TV looks better than ever.

Late June 2004
Moved Samsung SIR-TS160 to Master Bedroom.

June 2004
Added a couple of pics...see below!!

Late May 2004
Was very lucky and able to snag an HD TiVo from circuitcity.com. Installed easily and running great.

May 2004
Installation of LCD TV complete...very nice installation.

April 2004:
Just bought a new TV for the bedroom.
Tatung VLC23TT
This is a 23" LCD TV that Sam's Club was closing out and I was able to purchase it for a very good price. While the quality of this set is not near the Sharp Aquos line - I think my 'bang for the buck' rating is pretty good. I bought a wall mount from Mounts and More and it is in the process of being installed.

The receiver is still in the box. Hope to hook it up this weekend - but more likely will be later next week.
My cabinet maker is delivering my Custom Home Entertainment Center Saturday.
All my gear is piled up in the Living Room of my house waiting to be hooked up..I told my wife it looked like 'the best Christmas ever'.

Here is the corner where my home theater system will go.
The cabinet guy is due in tomorrow to install the Entertainment Center.
Can't wait...this project has dragged on for 10 weeks.
Later next week the bar will be installed.
Pics of all to follow.

Here's a picture of my new Entertainment Center

Unfortunately the rest of cabinets will be delayed indefinitely as it appear our cabinet maker had a heart attack after getting the Entertainment Center in our house. It was an interesting day to say the least!!

Next item:
Roku HD1000 High-Def Digital Media Player

The newly added ability (through 3rd party developers) to act as a ReplayTV thin client and also stream ripped DVD's got the best of me.

Due in July 26th....more later

The Roku is hooked up....
I can't get the ReplaySix application to work properly so that is a bummer...I have to launch it from a command prompt on a PC.
CinemaSix could be a great app. it allows you to play ripped DVD from you hard drive..if the lip synch issues get worked out this could be the killer app for me.
