No offense, but the Hisense H9F is rated higher than most of these TVs...

I've been eyeing the TCL-6 tv's for a year now for the reasons you stated, however, according to many user reviews, there is rampant banding issues with these TV's and it is more or less a crapshoot if you get a good one or a dud.


Until they vastly improve their quality control (maybe they have with the new year's models), I will be holding off on this TV.

I've heard/read more than one reviewer say there will likely be QC issues with TCL or Hisense, even though they're probably the two best brands in a "best affordable" listing. They suggest playing the panel lottery 'til you get it right. In order to do that with these or other brands, one must buy from a no-nonsense dealer with a good return policy. Jus' sayin'.
