I had my new chairs delivered about a month ago....

Seatcraft Sonomas, 7000 grade leather, power recline, power headrest.

I worked with Dario and Clara, and they were both great.

My chairs were delivered on time, as promised, and the workers took their time, and gave me some great ideas on how to mount my bass shakers.

In summary...I'm very pleased with the entire experience. Here's how the chairs look in my room:

Thank you, these are the same chairs I just ordered and they will ship in a couple of weeks. I would love to see more photos if you want to send some.

That was the only pic I had on my phone. If you check the "updated theater" thread in my signature, I think you may find a few more.

I think you'll love your new seats. I tried many different manufacturers and models, including seats that were significantly more $$$. I kept coming back to the Sonoma's for the look, perfect firmness, features, and overall value.

ps- the power headrest feature is worth the extra $$!

yeah, I sacrificed the curved design because I wanted the power headrest and I'm already tight on space. I can't wait, just need to get my new house finished so I can have them ship these out.

I ordered the Rockford style from them and they got here in about 10 days...faster than what I expected. They are not set up yet as my room is not yet carpeted. They arrived undamaged and were entirely shrink-wrapped on a pallet so that was nice. I dealt with Alex and I heard he was a good individual to assist on the order and he was great. Answered all my questions and I am completely happy with the entire experience. I did get RoadRunner as the shipping company and I heard they have lost shipments, but I didn't have any issues on my order. I would order from them again given the opportunity.

I'll post picture of the chairs once they are set up.

I just checked out the Rockford...it's a good looking chair. I suspect you're going to really like them. A word of warning though...have a cup of coffee before watching a movie and reclining in those seats, since the seats are like a concentrated dose of Melatonin mixed with Ambien

Haha...yeah no doubt. I hooked them up and reclined in them and they are super comfy. It's a serious nap-time chair.

Hi Sleuthor,

When I was shopping for my chairs about 2 months ago or so, I checked out both models. I found the Venetian to be the more comfortable of the two due to it's wider arm rest area.

Ultimately though , I ended up with Sonoma model, because I really fell in love with the power headrest. I like to recline pretty well, when I'm watching a movie, so the power headrest is great since you can dial in the support perfectly. On models with out the power headrest, when reclining, my eyes were level with the top of my screen instead of the middle.

If your budget permits it, I would definitely go with power headrest and 7000 grade leather. Lastly, power headrest run $100 more per chair or so.

Thanks for the feedback. I was definitely looking at power recliner, with top grain leather. Although, I was undecided on the power headrest.

I would like to stay at $600 per chair, but I could go over if it makes sense. I definitely see the value with the power head rest, as my TV is just above eye level when sitting straight. So, if one was to fully recline, I wouldn't be able to comfortably keep my eyes on the screen.

The problem is that I want to keep the off wall clearance as minimal as possible. I believe the power head rest requires an additional 6" of clearance, if I'm not mistaken. I have a high top table behind the recliner seats and would like to avoid a large gap.

Sonoma I'm happy so far with my purchase but haven't actually used them yet. Asked me in a few months for an update and I'll share. They seem high quality and good delivery.

I have the Venetian seats and love them. The only complaint I get is that they are too comfortable and my guests often fall a sleep during movies, I disabled the base Lights. Totally impractical with front projection.

Casino, or anyone else: any feedback on Seatcraft Signature Napa in 7000 series leather?

Never sat in one, and will not have the opportunity.

Also, Casino, your chairs look nice to me. Were they "in-stock" models or special order? I was informed "in stock" models are typically inferior to taking the time and waiting for special order.

Please respond soon, need to order!

Hi Tesla, I sat in the napa and really liked it. To me it felt just like the Sonoma model ( which I have...pics posted a few replies up ) except that on the Napa, the armrest are thinner because it's part of the space saver series.

Chairs are so subjective....but for me, the Sonoma and Napa models had just the right amount of firmness. The power headrest is also really nice, and I am extremely happy I decided to get chairs, with this feature.

@kevings - your Sonomas look awesome, as does your room and equipment!

I have a question for you or anyone else who may know, if you don't mind. Do you think Buttkicker LFE's would fit under your chairs mounted to a thin metal bass plate in recline mode? They are fairly good sized at around 5.5" x 5.5", so I don't think most HT chairs will accommodate this very easy, if at all when in recline mode because the support bars go pretty low and will hit them.

I've read that some will accommodate the BK Advance units but not the LFE's. I'd rather use the LFE's since I already have them and want the extra power as well.

Also I've read where the Berkline 45090 theater chairs work well with the LFE's with the way the support bars are set up - not as low. I think they stopped making them for a while, but looks like you can get them again. They used to get great reviews but they are pretty pricey depending on which type of material you go with.

But man, the Sonoma's look nice, and the power head rests would be awesome as well I think!

Any of you guys that are running the BK LFE's in your HT chairs, please let me know which chairs you have

Thanks for any info you all may have.

@SBuger

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I cant help you out as far as the butkicker model goes, but I do have have AuraSound AST-2B-4s mounted in my seats. If you look through the thread called "updated theater" in my signature, I'm pretty sure I posted a picture there of how I mounted mine.

I'd estimate that shakers are about 2.5-3 inches tall and even when the seats are fully reclined I have about 2-2.5 inches of clearance above the top of the shaker and the underside of the seat which is cloth and has some give to it. (I actually went downstairs and double checked before posting this, so I could make sure I was giving you accurate data ).

So, those buttkickers you have may work, if you dont mind a sort of tight fit.

Hope that info helps.

Also, you may want to call 4seating.com and ask for Dario. He knows his stuff, when it comes to their seats and he may be able to help you out. In their demo room, I remember seeing buttkickers mounted in the seats but I dont know what model they were ( both the buttkickers and the seats )

Also, here's an idea that may help out some of you fellas, who hate the super bright lights on your chairs...

I plugged the surge protector for my chairs into an x10 module, which i can control from my remote control ( I use Irule....thread in my signature ).

Now when I'm watching a movie, I can turn off the x10 module which kills the power and the leds turn off.

The only downside to doing it this way, is that if i want to make any power adjustments to my chair, I just have to send the "on command" first. For me though, this outweighs being irritated for 2 hours while watching a movie, because of the bright blue leds of the seating control module for each seat.

I'm about to pull the plug on ordering a row of 3 Seatcraft Signature Napa plus two single chairs for the front row. Anyone else have experience with the Napa? I really need the space saver design and have some comfort that the Sonoma is so similar to the Napa without the width.

Thanks.....

Hi all. Does anyone have any experiences with the Seatcraft Winston? I'm interested in the 4 seat row, and the 4 seat with middle loveseat configuration.

Just call 4seating and they can do a single chair. They just don't list it on the website ordering format.

4seating has some single options. They have a "build it your way" customizing option that allows you to pick and choose what you would like and what material, etc. I have 3 of the Seatcraft "Windsor" seats that I ordered together, but they aren't actually attached, you just push them together and it looks like the 3 are attached. (I was surprised by this, but it's a non-issue).

Just wanted to chime in and say that I had a very good experience buying a 3-seat Seatcraft Venetian from 4seating.com. Delivery took a few days longer than I expected, but the phone rep I talked to got right on it, and gave me updates of where the seats were, and when they were scheduled to be delivered. I paid the extra $ for the "white glove delivery", which was very well done, with no damage to the walls or seats, and the seats were plugged in.

Even though I've had them for a couple of weeks, I haven't gotten to use them much, as my equipment won't be installed until tomorrow morning, but they seem sturdy and comfortable for my 6'1", 300 lb. frame. I like that the Venetian came with 3 tray tables (though only 1 will probably ever get used), so I snagged a comfy neck pillow free with my order.

Overall, I give 4seating 4.75/5

Looking at a different Seatcraft option, the Delta. Any experiences and/or real life pictures? Thanks!

(I was surprised by this, but it's a non-issue).
I just purchased 6 of the Seatcraft Monterey. These look a lot like the Sonomas but the leather is glossier, and they have memory foam on the cushions.
Since I wanted some flexibility with layout I called and ordered 2 seats as 2-arm 'singles' and the others as 'rows of 2'. Well, there's a $100 upcharge for purchasing the singles since they require an extra arm. However when you buy the 'row' seats one of them is a 2-arm single anyway, and the rest are 1-arm. They just push together as stated above to form a row.
It turned out that I needed my second row to be narrower than the front row so just I rearranged the chairs to have a 'row of 3' in back, and the front row is all single chairs.

Hey guys/gals
I am also considering the seatcraft napa from 4seating.com
appreciate the feedback on this forum.

Wondering opinions on straight versus curved?
Was leaning towards curved at least for the front row....
