Jive chairs in full grain leather arrived. They are really nice. Other than a minor issue, which Roman jumped on immediately (great service), I’m very happy with these. Perfect size and appearance for my (almost completed) theater.

What is you room width? I like the idea of a couch if you are watching sports and want to lay down instead of recline. Saves room as well. They look nice in your theater.

I will have 138" of space wall to wall. (pic attached)

There will be in-wall sides, but no rears.

I am looking at Lagoon x 4, either curved or straight with loveseat in the middle.

I'm wondering if the 118" vs 126.75" will be a dealbreaker for the curved. I think I'd like the curved, but if you think it'll be too tight a squeeze with only 6" on either side, then maybe I'll focus on the straight. Also, how is stock on these currently?

I have absolutely no place or should I say very little space on my left and right and still went with a curved config.

Thanks! No issues with a speaker RIGHT in your ear? Also, I assume you enjoy the curve

So far none since it's just surround. But I plan to build two stands and move them to the back and have the speakers stand on them so that tweeters are above ear level.

Good call. I have aimable tweeters so I'll probably put the speakers higher than ear level so it's not directly next to my head.

b_scott,

First, you want your surround sound twitters to be about 2 feet above your ears.
Second, you have following options:

1. straight set w/loveseat - IOIOOIOI - 118" wide
2. curved set with the loveseat - IOVOOVOI - 126.75" wide
3. straight set with outside chars angled in IOVOIOVOI - 129" wide
4. curved set with wedges in between in IOVOVOVOI - 134.75" wide

They all fit you your space, and while THX requirements for each seat is to be at least 2-3 feet away from any wall, with home theaters it is not always feasible, so you would choose a configuration that would work best for you.

With the sets that have a loveseat you can always get a portable removable armrest that will allow you to have a "separator" and a place to rest your elbow on the loveseat when needed.

In term of availability, I would need to know the configuration, color and cover you were looking for, and then I can check the inventory, and let you know.

Yeah that's always been the plan. Personally being 6'4" I am leaning Tribute over Lagoon, but my wife doesn't like the look as much since it looks less like a recliner and more separated into "chairs"

It's also $400 more if I do the Tributes.

Have you thought about the Jives? A set of 4, curved with a love seat in the middle is 115.25". That would get you away from the wall a little more.

My wife does not like their aesthetic at all. Nothing against them personally, she just doesn't like the look.

Not that the Lagoon-1011s are not as good, but I would definitely recommend Tribute-1015s that have 44.75" high back, and will work better for you. The chairs are very attractive and comfortable, and look much better in real life. The pictures do not do justice.

Yes, they are more expensive, and this is because they come with arm storage compartments, aluminum trays and manually adjustable headrests.

what is adjustable on the headrests? Do they get taller, or move forward?

while seating in the chair you can pull the top of the back forward, and it will bend up to 30 degrees.

Check the attached image - middle chair in the set is fully reclined and the headrest is adjusted.
