It will work fine outside of a malfunction , any S/PDIF (Toslink) cable will transport 5.1 audio or up to
24/96 2.0 PCM audio . I use an inexpensive 12 ft cable either Amazon Basic or Mono price in my set up below
Be sure to remove the small rubber cable end protective covers at each end before installing them or they wont work
Samsung 55KS8000 ,Samsung 55MU6300 . Sony 55X850C ,LG 42LB5400 ,Roku 2
Sony ES 7.1HT AVR modest 5.1 surround with Elac B6 fronts w/other impedance and sensitivity matched surrounds , center and powered sub that work well for what it is.
