Smells!

I am looking for suggestions to improve the smell of my home theater room. Right now there is a lot of heat and the smell of equipment with all of the wiring and the server rack. I am looking to make the movie theater a bit more pleasant, but I don't want to just grab a bottle of flowery Febreze and go nuts. So I am wondering what sort of scents people use to make their rooms smell nice, but not overwhelming. I don't want popcorn because I feel like that would get nauseating after awhile.

If the world didn't suck, we would all fall off.

Light a stick of Nag Champa from time to time. One of the best scents out there and it might do the trick.

What does that actually smell like? Is it just a floral incense or something?

Well, they are made from a flower in India called Champaka. Only your nose can decide if you like it or not.

Another avenue is scent diffusers. You can often find them at Bed Bath and Beyond stores and the like and give them a sniff test.

Where is your equipment?
Out in the open? Entertainment center? Closet?

Reason I'm asking, exhausting the heat out of the room might be your best option... if possible.

You really only have two options without moving equipment around. Either mask the smell with a cover scent or increase the airflow in the room to dissipate it.

Your equipment “smells”?

I believe if you buy one of the plug in fresheners you’ll be good. I use three on the first floor of my home and its a very large space and the entire space smells wonderful. It has a knob on the top that you can adjust the amount of the aroma. I personally use the “laundry fresh” plug in and its just a nice, light, hint of aroma. Nothing heavy. you can buy several different brands at Home Depot. Their cheap so for a month of continues aroma is like 5 bucks.
