Fantastic! Can't wait to set this up and give it a try.

Will you be adding kalidescape integration for now playing as well?

Do you guys think I can load Raspberry onto one of these? https://www.amazon.com/Windows-Compu...dp/B07N3VD6HT/

I have one running the MoviePosterApp already but if I can double boot, or single boot since I hate W10 anyways, this looks like it could make for an awesome little Pi machine.

The AtomicPi already runs on the same chipset as the AcePC T11 according to this: https://hackaday.com/2019/06/06/the-...s-it-worth-it/

That's cool and I appreciate that. I was just wondering if it would run on Raspberry Desktop.

I'll go out and buy a Pi 3 next week and try it out.

That would be fantastic as I should be able to easily install Linux on the Z83V.

@0raid I am very excited to try your new software. I was an avid user of movie poster but it hasn't been working on my display for many months now.

One thing is that my display serves dual purpose as a dakboard as well as a poster display. I actually would have the dakboard display on one chrome tab and movie poster on another. Then when kodi would show a movie it would switch the tabs on my pi.

I see that your software currently only comes via a pi image... Since I have invested a lot of time into dual functionality of my raspberry pi connected display, would it be possible to also have an installer script that can be used on existing pi installations?

Thank you for your time.

Thank you , yes i have build a image just for my app because i have change many things in the raspbian core to make it work , the script needs a lot things to be installed in raspberry (apache , php , mysql , WiringPi , python) , also the app use javascript....so it will be nightmare to setup all this in a fresh linux image one by one....

you can keep your current setup , take another raspberry , install my image , and then in your current setup in the second tab (the tab that you want to display kodi now playing) , put the url of other raspberry pi (the rasp that running my app)

George

Just got it installed and running and I missed one thing in my excitement - I don’t use Kodi. I just took for granted that the program would also pull posters from internet sources as well.

Will you also be adding the ability to download movie posters from IMDBs upcoming movie list? One of the things I love about the movie poster app is the way it pulls upcoming movies from that list automatically and would include it in the rotation. The poster list I had in movie posters app primarily came from downloading off the internet site for the poster cache. Thank you.

Is the code in Github or anything like that? If you’re willing to take code contributors, I would like to see if there’s anything I can do to help.

Will there be a built-in auto update option, or will new versions need to be installed over previous versions?

Looks great - will be trying it out today if I get the time.

One minor thing I noticed, on your "Requirements" page...you may want to clarify to use a regular SD card for Raspberry Pi models A & B. Starting with Raspberry Pi model B+, it uses a micro SD card.

you must enable in your kodi:

allow remore control via http
allow remote control from application on this system
allow remote control from applocation om other systems

also did you use password for your kodi (remote)?
