Budget theater seating

I've been building my theater over the past six months or so, and trying to do so on a tight budget. I picked up a row of 3 Coaster Pavilion seats on Craigslist for $300 and have been looking for another local deal on black theater seats and have come up short. My wife is starting to complain about the empty riser and lack of seating (there has been a couple of times I've sat on folding chairs to watch the movie when we had friends over), so I've been looking at what options are out there for a black row of 3 theater chairs. I do not want bonded leather, so that eliminates some of the lower priced units. I'm looking for a row of 3 black leather (leather match fine) manual reclining theater chairs. What options do I have at $400-$450 per chair?

So far I have found

Seatcraft Argonaut (seem to be out of stock everywhere)

Seatcraft Pallas (seem to be out of stock everywhere)

Seatcraft Rialto

Others that are close are Coaster Pavilion, Octane XS850 (in premium leather), and Lane 125 MVP Leather.

Has anyone used any of these? How would you rate the quality of the brands?

Thank you for your help!

If you would like, check our Fusion Collection Encore-1010 manual recliners and Lagoon-1011 motorized ones.

For leather that's a low budget, we have a new chair in leather and power but it's a bit higher than that. It's called Addison it's on our web site, but it's not in stock now coming soon, we have some bonded leather manual seats in that price range is all called Paget in stock. The addison will also be available in black microfiber which is getting closer but not quite there as it's power recline.

Good luck on the search but for leather that's a low budget.

Regards,
Alan

I have the Octane Dream, and have been happy with them. Can't speak to the model you're looking at though. Dream was available on Wayfair under a different name for around 400-500 I think.

How are the dreams holding up? I was interested in these until I read a bunch of reviews saying how firm they were. Comments?

Holding up fine for the most part.
I did make the mistake of trying to move one of them by grasping it from the stitching, and tore it a bit. At some point I will make use of my extended warranty to repair that. Aside from that, very happy with them. Though they are firm for sure. This is one of the things I like about them.

This seems like the hardest part of putting a theater together without paying ridiculous amounts of money for some seating. Wish I could find a local seller to get a good deal.

I ended up ordering some off of wayfair that appear to be re-branded Coasters. They were sold under the "Latitude Run" brand that also sells some Octane seats. They appear to match the Coaster Latitude's that I got off Craigslist perfectly and are a leather match (just like the Coasters). They should be in on Tuesday next week and I'll try and report back with my impressions.

My seats came in on Tuesday and I just got them installed. They are in fact not identical to the Coasters but close and have the same recline mechanism. They are supposed to be a leather match and that appears to be correct, the seating surfaces and armrest tops appear to be leather and the non seating surfaces appear to be a vinyl, much like an automotive seat. Some pictures are below. The front row are Coaster seats and the back row are the Wayfair seats.

They look great! Honestly if you hadn't told me they were different I would have had to look awfully hard to determine that.
