Curtain recommendation?

I ordered these as I saw them recommended on here.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Absolute...ord=WA88363366

They’re effective at total light blocking, but I will be returning them.

I would like something much more black (like black velvet) and with much more heft.

Without spending a ton of money, any recommendations?

Define "a ton of money".

I would spend up to double what those HD ones cost (which in my case was $90). I have to believe there’s a good inexpensive heavy black velvet somewhere on Amazon perhaps?

Did you do a search on Amazon?

Yes, looked at a ton - but it’s maddening and I’m not sure which will fit the bill. Many are listed as blackout but reviews are very inconsistent, some saying they’re partially sheer, not that heavy. Hoping someone may have a good personal experience as standards are different amongst this group.

These look like they fit the bill.

So, these appear to be the cheapest true blackout, heavy velvet curtains I've found:

https://www.amazon.com/Blackout-Thea...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

A little pricey. If anyone has experience with another, please let me know.
