My buddy just got a 55 in EF9500 for $1900 from nice electronics. Anyone know their rep? He said he got it in three days no issues. They currently have the E6 55 at $3300

Nice Electronics is one of the generic up-sell bait-and-switch shops (along with East Cost TVs and a few others), which is to say, you might get the television you ordered at the price you ordered it for, but before you do, you'll be subjected to endless up-selling attempts (trying to to tell you that you selected a non-US model and tell you the US version of the TV is only $500 extra, or to sell you expensive HDMI cables and other useless junk to go with the television), as well as likely attempts to add significant ($300-$400) shipping and insurance charges. If you turn down all the extra junk, they may decide not to ship the product at all, or you may get a refurb model or something of the sort.

In general, if any seller makes claims that are patently ridiculous, like "Our Tech team is here on standby to calibrate your TV at no cost," (obviously, no one is going to offer free legitimate calibration on sets when they're trying to sell them so far below MSRP), it's likely that a lot of the other information on their site (prices, shipping times, etc.) is misleading or fraudulent.

It appears Nice Electronics officially "shuttered" their old business at their Brooklyn address and started a new one in NJ to get rid of their old F rating with the BBB, but they're already back down to a B at their new address, with a variety of complaints in the last 12 months. At first glance, they seem to have a reasonable rating on Reseller Ratings, but if you look closely, you'll see (a) several people talking about having their negative reviews removed multiple times before they "stuck", with Nice Electronics claiming they weren't actual customers or other such methods, and (b) most of the good reviews either show a modified date, which suggests that Nice Electronics took some action after the review was posted to convince the user to bring up the rating, or sound like the type of generic fake review put up by the retailer themselves that's used to counter specific criticism they're usually targeted with (e.g. "Nick took time to explain the different options of the TV that I was trying to purchase. No high pressure sale. Didn't try to rush me off the phone."). I would avoid shopping with Nice Electronics or their ilk unless you really feel like gambling and putting up with a lot of sales nonsense to try to save perhaps a hundred dollars over more reputable retailers when all is said and done.

EDIT: For reference, actual authorized dealers, like Adorama, have been selling the 55" EF9500 as low as $1,949 recently, so the price differential on the deal your friend got was less than $50. At that differential, I'm not particularly surprised if they actually shipped the set out without too much hassle.

I just picked up an 55E6P from Video Only here in Pleasanton CA for $3,175. Sounds like Video Only has some LG OlED promo going on.

That's the price I was hoping for. Have a friend that works for em so I should be able to get it.

Hopefully LG refunds my 9300 to help me out.

A Video Only store in Washington State has matched the price offered by Cleveland Plasma for the 65" B6.

It was $4650 out the door. Note this included tax, so it was $4250 + tax. But it does not include shipping, so I will pick it up tomorrow.

It looks like Amazon has dropped the prices on the B6/C6 to the expected $3k for 55" and $5k for 65" now, so I imagine all the standard retailers will be adjusting the prices down to match soon.

It's official. LG now has an MSRP of the 65C6 and 65B6 at $4999. This week it's time to start checking out on-line prices.

Here is what I am in the process of doing. To replicate this you need a Discover Card. My Discover cashback is 2% since I'm in the bonus double period otherwise you will have it at 1%

Crutchfield LG 65" B6: $4999.99
4% Cashback via Splender: -$199.99
5000 in Crutchfield Points: -$100
Discover 2% cashback: -$99.99
Discover Price Protection using Nice Electronics (or something similar): -$500

Total: $4100.01

Are you sure Discover will allow you to use price protection based on list prices from scammer sites? I would think that such a policy would cost them money hand-over-fist and be quickly rectified.

You'll want to check out a few more websites before purchasing but you'll probably have to wait at least a couple of weeks. I am positive you'll be able to get the B6 or C6 for under $4500 delivered from some legitimate on-line dealer. That will off set your price protection because it's unlikely Discover will recognize "Nice" as legit.

I do not know for sure if Discover will recognize them but they are an unethical website not a scam website. They will sell you the TV for $500 cheaper than anyone else (if you buy $600 worth of other junk).

I have used Discover price protection on other products in the past and it was pretty painless (Simply just uploading screenshots).

They're probably not engaged in fraud, in the legal sense, but in the colloquial sense these sites are definitely scams. They clearly have every intention of drawing potential customers in with their low advertised prices and have no intention of actually selling anything at those prices. They rely on either tricking or wearing down consumers to the point that they just want to get what they bought, even if they have to pay some hefty unexpected fees in order to do so.

While LG lists as "authorized" dealers on their website generally big chain stores, virtually all other dealers are, in effect, "authorized" and they'll honor warranties, etc. for items purchased from other retailers. However, LG goes out of their way to actually list "unauthorized" dealers, of which there are only three, and they are Joe's AV, East Coast TV and, you guessed it, Nice Electronics. If Discover honors the Nice price, great, but I'd still be prepared.

Thats new; in the past if it was a B&M store you were required to get the store manager to sign the claim form in order to get the rebate.

I have used the Discover card protection to price match countless Black Friday deals from a variety of websites. In my case they did not care one bit if I was using an authorized dealer. For instance I got several hundred dollars back on my AVR-X6200W because I sent them a screenshot of a low price from some relatively shady website (similar to Nice Electronics).

Here is an extra tip: If the website you are taking a screenshot of has a low price but does not clearly list the dates the low price is available, open the calendar widget in your OS and take a screenshot of the whole screen (showing the website and the calendar). Honestly, this really is their official way of handling this. I could not believe it.

Amazon has the 65" B6 on sale for $4,000 through Beach Camera right now: https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronic...=1&*entries*=0

Also available on the Beach Camera site: http://www.beachcamera.com/shop/prod...-with-webOS-30

I just bought one this week from my Magnolia store in Best Buy for $5k. Called them and after some debating they price matched it over the phone. They said there's a promotion for the TVs for that price starting on Sunday; if true, it sounds like the $4k price will be pretty standard in a few days.

I just found the same $4k price through buydig and beach camera(they appear to be the same people). Both are authorized resellers. If you buy through rakuten, they have a 5% cashback points promo going on:

It'll be interesting to see where this goes after Sunday.

My theory is that the 65" B6 was always meant to go lower in price than the C6 and was designed as such.

I think it's very likely the 65" B6 will get to $3,499 this year.

I will wait one more month then use Discover Price Protection to get the price difference from what I paid (about $4,200) to what the price will be then.

It jumped back up to $5,000. Hopefully $4k is the new price as of Sunday and they just jumped the gun. Otherwise, I should have ordered one.

Yep, and I will be quite happy if the difference gets this large. Right now it's at less than $300 between the price I paid and the cheapest price online. That adds up to a lot of disks

This makes sense, $5,000 is too damn high for entry level OLED's when you can get an LCD like the Samsung KS8500 or 8000 for $2,000 or the new Vizio P series 65 for $1,800 with FALD! I remember the 65EF9500 quickly lowered to $6,000 and then $5,000 within a month of release based on the $7,000 msrp. If LG really wants to mass market these sets they need lower the prices. If the entry level 65's go for 4,000 they will see sales increase exponentially.
