2017 LG's are starting to roll in and early deals may now be found. May be useful to bring discussion of these sets out of the existing thread for the 2016 models.
Several users have purchased the 65B7P from eBuyUSA for $2690 delivered, which is $1260 less than Costco. I called and spoke with Al and he confirmed that have a source for a few dozen units/month and are able to offer aggressive pricing by phone only. GameLiquidations has the 65E7P for $3499 through eBay, which is the best price I've seen to date from a company that'll actually deliver.
I just responded to your pm. Perfectly happy with my 2690 purchase from ebuy and will have it for 2190 after price matching TV superstores 1999 they had posted.
Hi, I'm new here and I wanted to ask, have you found ebuy and gameliquidations to both be reliable sellers of LG oled products? I'm on the hunt for my first big tv and am trying to avoid scams. Thank you.
Sent up like so many other here on 5/29/17 used Tv Super Store to match to and purchased 65C6 from ebay seller (sent up simple ebay invoice print screen).
Was started to get worried as so many were getting approved on 6/5/2017 who sent in on 5/29. Today I got the email and was approved for $500!!! That's fantastic! First time using PM, thanks to all on here who have given advise on it! Mine may have taken longer to process as I requested a "check" as to not lose any cash back from my 2% card from the $500 credit that would have been posted back...
The PM makes this 65" C Oled purchase one of the hottest deals of the year so far for me!
Still didn't get mine but now i have a problem: i returned the first one i got ... shall i call them, cancel that price protection and then wait 2 weeks to apply for the new one?
Citi sent me an email last week wanting a copy of my statement which i promptly sent back. I called today and the lady stated that my price match on my cell phone was pending. Cell phone? Wtf? Straightened that out and was approved 1 hour later.
2690 from ebuy, minus 500 pp from citi, plus 90 for the costco st warranty. 2280 total. Not bad!
If anyone is looking to buy from Amazon, the price just dropped $500 on the 65C7 from $4000 to $3500 this morning. Not sure if it will remain at that price since Amazon's prices tend to bounce all over the place.
Great find on Amazon. If anybody has already purchased their TV, you helped them out on their price protection for their credit cards.
I checked Best Buy and Fry's, after your find. They dropped the price to $3,500 also. LG must have notified their authorized resellers to drop it today.
I was in my local Costco today and looked at the LG OLED. I think it was a B model. 65" for 34xx.00. The set had the Costco video they run on all of them. It was very dim. It was next to a Samsung QLED curved 65" set that blew it away for the same price. I know about "torch mode". I asked the guy about it and he thought something was wrong about it, picked up the remote and set it to "vivid". It brightened up a little but was still dim. I know these TV's are not great for bright rooms but they will never sell any when it looks like this one. Any thoughts??
In another Costco recently, they had one going with a special video that showed all these vivid colors and looked fantastic. It wasn't the video the rest of the TV's had on.
Costco's deal was if you bought the ST warranty they took $90 off the tv, which is the cost of the 3yr warranty.

Yes, but the QLED and OLED are two different beasts. If you want bright performance in a well lit room, go QLED. I you want great performance in a dark room, go OLED.
Great deal. Ielectrica will email you an unbundled invoice for cc pp if you ask. $2150 with a successful match is amazing for this early in the year. Close to B6 Black Friday prices after match.
Frys has the 65C7P for $2497 with their weekend codes. It's still working for me today. People have had mixed results getting this combined with their "we pay taxes on 4K TV's promotion." My local store wouldn't, but someone in Texas did.
That could be used to match with Best Buy in some cases.
When you say "must go into the store" are you talking about Fry's or for BB to price match? BTW I did the email for the code. Just waiting to see if BB will match. Fry's doesn't show it in stock.
They will show it on the website with the code, but you can only order it for pickup or delivery (not "shipping"). So if BB will take an on-line cart price at Frys then it will work. If they will only take an ad or only match if Frys will ship to you locally, then it won't.
You can do what's called a "purchase/no pickup" meaning exactly what it says. You secure the price now, and pick up when it comes back into stock. They didn't know when it would be back in stock, though, so I'm not sure how long you're willing to wait.
Where does it need to be in stock? It's in-stock at 6 of the Frys stores in the USA. But if you're going to have it price matched locally and pay sales tax, unless your tax rate is under 5% I bet you can get a vendor to ship it to you cheaper.
Saw the LG OLED at Costco yesterday surrounded by all the other TV's and my only thought was why would anybody buy anything other than OLED. Now just get the price of the 77" under 5k and I'll get rid of my 1080P set.
Are we sure that this wasn't a mistake by Fry's? As I understand it, both LG and Sony strictly dictate price changes on their top of the line TVs to their authorized retailers. I haven't seen the 65C7 lower than the current $3500 anywhere. Costco dropped the price on the 65B7 to $3500 as well
Multiple people bought one at Frys at that price ($2490). I didn't end up buying one, but they would have happily sold me one at that price in the store. Other authorized vendors are also able to match that price if you ask and don't just go via advertised price. The Frys price was not advertised either.
It looks like the price is dropping faster this year than last. I wonder if we will see it hit $3000 sooner than November? Maybe it will hit $2500 around Black Friday?
At brick-and-mortars, you mean? It's already hit $3,000-ish at certain reputable online retailers. No tax in most cases, but no returns, either (save obvious manufacturing defects or shipping damage).
