No problem. I ended up buying locally, paid $300 more before tax, and got 12 months 0%, my wife is going to kill me when this thing shows up on Saturday...LOL...

Interesting? Checked greentoe this morning and none of their dealers have the Sony 77 A9G in stock! That last price drop must have put a lot of folks in "buy" mode .

Years ago Abes was highly reputable, but in the last 3-5 years either new owners or something, the site is now pure scam with bait and switch, never ship, etc...

I purchased my current TV from Abes 7 years ago and it was flawless experience. That said, I would stay as far away from them as possible. Buyer experiences have been horrible over the last 3-5 years.

Best Buy has the 77” C9 and A9G on sale for $4,999 each. Anybody think they will go any lower for Black Friday? Unfortunately, if I buy now, BB does not match their own price during the week of Black Friday (Sunday before to Monday after.)

I doubt it on the Sony. That is their Black Friday price.

That was what I was thinking also. My bet is that the C9 is going to drop another $500. That said, I would still probably get the A9G. Now if the C9 drops another $1,000 then I would probably get the C9. Thank you again!

Snagged the 77C9 for $3699 out the door from Greentoe from an authorized seller (being shipped at the moment). I'm upgrading from a pretty old and budget Samsung Plasma (PN60F5300) and am super nervous about how massive this TV is going to be and how fragile it looks. I've only ever owned sub $1000 TVs, so I've never had to worry twice about someone accidentally damaging my TV but at this price point, I'd be looking at a huge downgrade if something were to happen to the TV in the next couple of years :-D

Yup, it sure is going to be a big upgrade. I'm going to be viewing at 10' which seems like a pretty good viewing distance for that size screen. I'm super excited to finally own an OLED TV... been dreaming about having one ever since I owned my first OLED phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus) many aeons ago. Can't wait to watch Season 4 of "The Expanse" when it releases in a couple of weeks. I'm a huge sci-fi buff and love the books and the show. Space scenes in 4K are something I can never get enough of

The Expanse was practically filmed for OLED, high-contrasty imagery with the emulated void of space as a backdrop. Get ready for some jawdrops. I'm not real pleased with the uniformity on my 77" G6, but it is 99% concealed on that series.

Pulled the trigger yesterday on a 77C9 after speaking with Chris at Cleveland AV. Very competitive price compared to Greentoe, no tax, no shipping charges and an AVS sponsor to boot. Worth a call or PM for sure. First purchase from them, so I can't yet comment on anything other than the helpfulness of the transaction. Chris answered all my questions and explained the process. I should have a tracking number by tomorrow.
Update: Ordered around noon on Monday 12/2, Tracking info Tuesday night 12/3, delivery scheduled for next Wednesday 12/11.

Rest assured, it will be a smooth process, I've bought two OLED's from Chris and he is very easy to work with.

It did on retail- greentoe still shows one can be had for around $4700...

Has anyone ordered one from Greentoe lately that would share the price paid delivered without tax?

Another plug for Chris from me. Received my 77C9 just before Thanksgiving - less than 1-week from order to delivery. He also hooked me up with a Denon AVR-x3600h for a great deal. Communication was great and the TV is amazing - first OLED. The whole family just stares like zombies, in awe at the damn thing.

Just talked to Chris a little while ago. I ordered a 77 A9G from him last Friday. However, they are currently out of stock and there should be more in on Monday.. I had ordered my current X940E from him and a 75X850C prior to that. No problems what so ever and hopefully this one is the same experience .
