I just got the 55" C8 for $1399 with free expedited shipping!

Note that the code is no longer working but if you call in and ask, they are giving one time codes to honor the price.

Checked the TV hours, it was zero.

Just registered on LG, no issue.

FYI, I've been lurking around Fry's in San Jose (CA) area because I picked up a C7 for a decent deal last year. They're out of stock on C8s but they privately told me they would let it go for $1500. They told me to check back on Tuesday for stock.

Well I pulled the trigger Wednesday on the 65” C8 from Costco. 5 years of warranty coverage between Costco’s Concierge Services and the free 3 year SquareTrade they bundled was enough for me to justify paying $2649.

Take delivery on Monday, so I’ll get a chance to play over Turkey Day. Coming from a KS8000 so looking forward to seeing the difference.

Maybe. YMMV I guess. I’m taking all the warranty and panel uniformity horror stories with a grain of salt. My KS8000 gave me all kinds of headaches right after the warranty ran out so I’ll take my chances.

Do you have to use the Costco Citi Visa to get all those additions? What if my limit isn't high enough to pay for the entire thing in that, is partial payment enough?

The E8 was OOS as I said. The inquired on the C8 and was offered $2200.

You get 5 years with any payment, 1 manu, 1 extra from costco and 3 from square trade
if you use the citi visa, you get 2 more years for a total of 7

I went the Costco route on my C8 as well (B7 too). FYI - bought a SQ warranty from Costco on my KS8000 a few years ago (you don’t have to buy from them to get the warranty there). Earlier this year the One Connect box went out, went through the steps with SQ and Samsung (SQ got them on the phone for tech support), after a few tests they authorized a new one sent via FedEx with overnight shipping. Made a believer out of me and made the $49 a good investment.

Have faith in Costco, they wouldn’t be selling a warranty that didn’t meet their high standards. Free helps too

Never, ever had a "Horror Story" buying from Costco.
If you're that skittish, maybe you're in the wrong game.

Im just saying that a lot of people base their buying decisions and paying considerably more on the safety of having squaretrade only to find out that its completely useless afterwards. Maybe youre ok with that but im not.

E8 - $3199 less $320(10%) = $2880 ...There 5 year warranty is $700 but covers burn in and even 3 dead pixels gets replaced.

C8 - $2699 less $270 = $2430

Costco $2697 less $108(4%) = $2589 including 7 year warranty if you use Costco CitiCard
Costco price based on getting 4% cash back at end of year with CitiCard and they are including SquareTrade with all oleds

I think Costco is down to $2580 now. They have an instant $70 off, when I was in the store yesterday.

The price is $2649.99 with a $100 off when you buy SQ warranty (so that’s free) and $70 off via Costco.com when you type in the code “LGTV70” at checkout. As for benefits with the Citi Costco card, it’s 2% cash back, 4% is gas only and the card does add 2 years to the warranty, but it still max’s out at 5, not 7 years. You are buying a 4 year warranty from SQ at Costco, which starts as soon as the manufacturer’s warranty expires regardless of what Costco or Citibank offer on top of that, so the good news is you’ve got Costco/LG behind you for the first 2, then it’s your choice in 3,4 with the Citi feature or SQ, then SQ in year 5. Makes the extra year look expensive if you’ve got the Costco Citi card. Read the fine print

Good deal if you want to buy in store, but you can do a lot better via the deals discussed above. The other consideration depending on your location and State laws (or should I say lack of) is sales tax. In my State and about 20 others legislation has been passed to require its collection for internet sellers at point-of-sale, so tack on 9% to the $2649.99 if you live in my State and shop at our only Costco in town.

Amazon just dropped prices on LG 2018 models. 65" C8 for $2,400 and E8 for $3,100. probably some other price drops as well, but these are the two i've been keeping an eye on.

I see the advertisement to save extra 10% but I don't see it applied at checkout. Any ideas?

i believe it's a cash back reward, just an additional 5% on top of the 5% you already get with the amazon store card. so you'll get a statement credit (or rewards points) after the fact. on my order details page there's a line that says: "Earned 5% back, and an additional 5% back with your Amazon Prime Store card."

That is a crazy good price for the 65 C8 - $2,399!

Do you have any links to these?
Looks like I need to get educated.
I've always had great confidence in Costco and their warranties.
I understand square trade is a separate company.

Square Trade has been bashed many times, from very slow service to declining coverage for "act of god". That said, it's likely a lot better than no coverage and there's probably a good chance you will never need it. The people you hear from are the one's with problems. You never hear from folks who have a good experience.. or rarely.
