buydig is shipping via FedEx, I got notice today. I'm guessing that there will not be in-home setup from the fedex guy, lol.

What's the estimated delivery date for you? Does fedex call for a delivery window for items of this size?

Delivery is estimated for Thursday. I am not expecting a call, they will probably just take it to the local FedEx pickup place if I miss it (which I am going to try hard not to do ).

Just got my notice tonight from FedEx as well. All 65 inches should be at a relative's house by Thursday. I then have to transport it to my place in my 4Runner with a friend. I'm a little nervous about that. The box will fit but not fully upright so I'm a little nervous about that. Any tips?

Did you guys order direct from BuyDig, or via Google Express? When did you place your order?

So far, all I have is my email receipt from Google Express, but it's only been a couple of (business) days, and delivery is "expected by Dec 12". I'm not sure how soon I should expect to hear anything.

Looking at the LG Auth dealers page, it looks like the Top vendors (with the logos) are authorized dealers, and the bottom list are known unauthorized dealers. Is that correct? does that mean the Cleveland Plasma (Cleveland AV) are not an authorized dealer? What auth dealer has the best price on the 65" C8?

I ordered through Google Express as well. Does FedEx require a signature for this? I'm not currently living at my house (getting renovated) and I'll likely miss delivery.

Most definitely requires a signature. Fedex has a nice feature where you can redirect to a fedex location, I suggest you look into that.

My Current and first experience with greentoe has not been the best. To start, I went back and forth with a representative through email about the price they were offering. He kept telling me that the 1899 price was a mistake and I would never get it for that price and eventually convinced me to accept their deal for 2099. Literally the next day the 1899 price was back, clearly not a mistake. I get that's on me, I accepted the offer, but I really don't appreciate the way that was handled. Now its been over a week and the seller they connected me with can't see the order, and will have to get back to me. I have been charged and the website currently says pending shipment still. If I don't hear back in a few hours I'll call, and perhaps cancel.

Ugh, wished I wasn't at the mercy of Best Buy's store credit($1600). Looking for a 65 inch C8 sale I can use from an authorized dealer to price match with best buy is hard. The ebay deals are amazing, but no price match, and the B&M stores on their price match site are stingy on the pricing. Looks like the waiting game will continue until March-April 2019 when the prices drop drastically.

Just ordered from an ABC Warehouse bricks and mortar location. C8 for $1,998.00. Arrives at the store Friday. ABC is an upper midwest chain. Sales guys are heavy commission based, so while it always feels a bit sketchy you can get some decent deals. They had a B8 in their ad for $1,998 (in store only, no sku listed and web price is higher), but I didn't order on the spot so eventually through some back and forth we got the C8 to the $1,998. They're authorized so hopefully that means I'm good to go, and my CC says they add 12-24 months to warranties so I'm hoping that is actually legit too. Anyway, will pick up Friday and fingers crossed it all goes as planned.

For the record, bought the Sony 900f a week ago and tried it out all weekend and just couldn't get past the viewing angle. Coming from a Panasonic ST60 and it just bothered me way too much. That TV did look fantastic in the prime seat, but I find myself off center more than I thought I would playing with kids, etc.

That's certainly a good price for a B&M store, too bad you probably have to pay tax though. I'm still miffed that my credit card that has warranty extension I wanted to use for the Google Express/buydig deal wouldn't go through due to "fraud prevention". Oh well can't complain about the deal regardless

Put in an offer on a 55C8 on Greentoe. Got it accepted for $1499.

I was actually hoping on a repeat on Monday of the Google Express price of $1298 that showed up on BF. I was a little slow to jump on that.

I was going to just go with Amazon and get it at $1696 with 10% back for using the store card but that would have added almost $108 in tax.

The Greentoe price will work out to about $150 less than Amazon.

Will now look for a good price on a 3 or 4 year square trade warranty.

Then it's on to a sound system upgrade made possible by switching from a 65 to a 55 plus not having to get a new console for the wider set.

Moving up from a 50" Samsung plasma PN50B650 bought in 2009. Over the last 3 1/2 years, it's been succumbing to the horizontal line rot that is a problem with this model. The plasma has served us well. Dishing up an excellent picture, no viewing angle or motion issues. It will be missed.

This should help with your price match:
65" C8 for $1999.99

https://www.beachcamera.com/shop/pro...Model-Open-Box

I just pulled the trigger.

One thing I didn't realize. It's an open box closeout. I got the Sqaretrade warranty on it though, and I used my AmEx so I should be OK.

Tony

False Alarm.

The Open Box doesn't come with a warranty at all, and SquareTrade apparently doesn't do on-site visits in Cali. The hunt is still on. Where is the best place?

I just chatted with Beach Camera online and they said it still had the 45 day return policy but I didn't think about the warranty since I bought the 3 year square trade one. Do you know if squaretrade does on site visits in Texas?

I believe so. They only stated that on-site wasn't available in CA and NY.

Thanks. Not sure the order went thru anyway. My credit card doesn't show a pending purchase. My receipt thru BC shows availability as NO even though their website still shows in stock. I guess I'll wait and see.

I ordered through GE on the 23rd. I was originally expecting a 12/11 delivery.

Edit: I see yours is on the way too, nice!

Hi folks,

Don't forget, Costco it still $1650 for the C855 WITH 3 yr square trade warranty, good through December 1.

Cheers,

OPPO UDP-205, LG OLED65C8, OPPO BDP-93, Pioneer Kuro Pro-150FD, Dynaudio 2x BM-12a Mk III Mains, 2x BM 6a Mk II surround, 2x BM 14s Subs, Allan and Heath MixWizard, room is 11'7"x 16'6"x 8" dedicated and treated. Tripp-Lite UPSs/power conditioners (because my power isn't as clean as it used to be)

Correct that there was 6% sales tax in addition to the $1,998. I was ok with that to get it at a B&M location vs. online. I don't see any restocking fee referenced on their receipts or other paperwork, so I think they'll be reasonable if I run into issues.

Very discouraged by the lack of deals since BF. I got the LG 65 inch C8 GE deal at $2050 including tax only to find out that my all wise credit card fraud protection declined the charge. Of course this took 2 hrs to show up and GE was now sold out. Thought I could get the same deal on CM but was a no go. All the while I had a Greentoe offer in for $2150 and had a $2224.94 counter offer. Upped it to $2200 (not $2225 due to principle) just to get it over with and they didn't take it. Just offering some more data points for those still looking for a deal like me.

I’m playing the waiting game, too. A solid deal was offered on an E8 last Friday, but I was on vacation in the mountains - away from phone and Internet access. By the time I’d returned to civilization, the deal was gone. Drat.

So I bide my time, and check the usual sites for deals several times throughout each day. Hoping that December is kind to us..

I'm waiting for the 77" to come down just a bit more in price but I also need to sell my current 65" C8 to help with the cost. If anyone is in the Phoenix area I'm selling mine pretty cheap with just over 500hrs on it
