Thank you for the heads up on the Newegg Flash sale. Will definitely keep an eye out for 65 C8. Does anyone know where I can get an extended warranty if the seller is not an LG authorized retailer? I heard about SquareTrade, but Costco stated that their ST warranties are only for authorized retailers as well.
From the Costco website, may not be an issue but it could also provide Square Trade with a reason to deny your claim. I've had a claim with last year for a Samsung bought from BB (warranty from Costco) and Square Trade required a copy of the receipt and asked a lot of questions so who knows. The member only language isn't something I've noticed before, have always read a membership wasn't required to do the ST warranty through Costco, but I've been a member for 15+ years.
"Costco Members may purchase SquareTrade warranty plans for new TVs bought from a Costco warehouse, Costco.com or any authorized US retailer
. The plan must be purchased within 90 days of purchasing the TV in a Costco warehouse or from Costco.com.
If the TV is purchased outside of Costco from an authorized retailer in the US
, then the service plan must be purchased within 60 days from receipt of TV."
