Given their definitions of refurbished, you shouldn't have to worry about burn-in. And if it's there, you still have the year warranty.

You'd be nuts to buy a refurbished OLED. Not worth the minimal savings.

That’s what I thought too. The tricky part is , it may not have shown any burn in sign but you need to know how old the TV was used before. Just for the argument sake, If it was 6 months old without burnin then you might be losing that extra 6 months that may be coming after warranty expires. I am not sure if that logic makes sense , but I personally will be carful in buying a refurb oled. If one thinks that’s a significant saving and budget concerns then certainly there’s no argument against that.

Yep. It may be restored to factory settings but u less it’s a brand new panel, id hate to get one and find out it sat as a display unit for 6 months.

If it doesn't have burn in after six months and you're taking the regular precautions against causing it, why would that extra 6 months matter? I'm not saying I would necessarily get a refurb OLED TV but depending on the savings, I'd consider it. Given that you could get a brand new 55E8 for $1299 the other week, it's probably not worth it to risk it though.

65" C8 $1999

Greentoe is accepting $1999 as of today. Not the best price ever but probably the best in last 30 days or so. Bad thing is Greentoe now charging tax to a lot more states.

I think we are on the same page 🙂 honestly I am not a tech expert who knows exactly what may cause more or less burnin over time 😉 and that’s why I was being a bit concerned with refurb Oled. Buydig was selling an “open box” used 77c8 for 3999 on eBay yesterday. I was tempted and sent them a message asking how many hours , how old is the tv etc. they didnt respond and that tv is sold out. It was about $800 cheaper than regular sales they have, or about $700 cheaper than Newegg flash today. That’s a good saving but if I am spending $4000 then I will rather spend a bit more , keep my peace of mind and don’t think twice.

That’s the same as Best Buy’s price for the B8 and 100 less than massdrop. Great price. I wish they took my offer of 2050 5 days ago but they didn’t. So I paid 1999 plus tax for the B8. Interestingly on Sunday of last week BH photo wouldn’t go lower than 2350 on the C8. They wouldn’t even match massdrop. 5 days and look where we are.

I apologize if this one has been discussed, but I didn't see it in the last few pages.
Abe's of Maine has the ODED55E8PUA for $1549

Is there any reason not to deal with them?

Decided to jump on BB's $1999 offer for the B865. Delivered on Wednesday. Extraordinarily happy. Thanks again for everyone who tracked the sales in this thread over recent weeks -- immensely helpful in my buying decision (or "trading in" decision, more accurately).

but not "super". It was rumored prices would be better than black Friday. Certain authorized dealers kinda have put their foot in their mouth and have been very quiet this past week. This has always been a big week for big deals on tv's and delivery leading up to today.

something attention grabbing that had people clambering to get b4 they were all gone....I plan to wait until the Spring like last year when I 'stole' my 55C7 on amazon for 1049 delivered from an authorized dealer....but..if some price deals were happening , I might have jumped now on another OLED. Instead we got the SOS that's been around for months.

Inventory drives prices. We must have done a great job clearing out excess inventory between Black Friday and the end of January. I can assure you if there was a lot of excess inventory this late in the 2018 model season there would have been massive blow out sales for the Superbowl.

I realize this was over yesterday, but are any of these deals eligible for the BB price match by chance? Would love to get this XB1X for just under $50 between the $50 drop last week and the price match on the 65B8...

The LG C8 I ordered through Newegg/Gameliquidations arrived yesterday in good shape. I had called Gameliquidations earlier in the day to make sure I understood the return policy, just in case the TV arrived damaged. They said I had 4 days, which was typical for FedEx. TV arrived double boxed, packed as if it came straight from the manufacturer. Since it was double boxed, the packing was undoubtedly better than what a local brick and mortar store would provide. So through the whole order processing and delivery I had nothing but a positive experience from Newegg/Gameliquidations. If the C8 fails now, it falls on LG.

Coming from watching a LG 1080p LED tv, needless to say, I was blown away by the C8 picture. A whole new viewing experience.

Lastly some have suggested that BB would possibly not honor the warranty if it was transported flat. This seems a bit silly since the LG instructions for attaching either the stand/base or a wall mounting bracket, pretty much tell you to lay the tv flat to perform these operations.

To be clear, I'm assuming most of you live in houses so FedEx is delivering these boxes to your driveways/front porches or whatever? I live in a 3rd story apartment and I don't think FedEx brings up anything over 20 pounds.

New - the spread between the deals posted here and retailers like Costco and BB have been pretty consistent for a while regardless of size with a few exceptions along the way.

There is no perfect display, quit looking for faults and enjoy

You had a nice FedEx guy. Mine declined my request for me to open the box and inspect the TV before I signed. Then I asked if he can help me bring it up to my bedroom on the second floor (I live in a house), and that was declined as well. He mentioned that if there were any damages from shipping, I can call FedEx and they will come pick it up and return it to shipper, so I just signed for it. Thank goodness there were no damages. Oh, and it came double boxed as well.
