Price drops are starting to come in for the 2018 models. It's been getting messy posting it in the 2017 threads. It's about time for a dedicated thread.
Best deal is to buy from Green Toe for $2,499 with a credit card. Make a price protection claim against eBuyUSA for $2,049. If you are patient, you can wait a month and claim for full $500 reimbursement at $1,999 out the door.
That's not too far off from the Best Buy retail price of $2,299. Make an offer for $1,999 and see if they bite. Keep in mind, there is no sales tax if the vendor is out of state.
If you want to buy local, head to Best Buy for the $2,299. Use a credit card with price protection like Citi. Get $500 credited back from the credit card company, when you match it against eBuyUSA (http://www.ebuyusa.com/prodinfo.phtml?id=3753) or a lower price within 60 days. It would bring the price down to $1,799.

This would be a good offer to make on Greentoe, if you want to deal with an authorized dealer instead of eBay. If they don't bite this weekend, they would likely do it in another month. Be sure to pay attention to thread for price protection claim, when the price drops.
I am not sure how price protection works on eBay purchases.
Is the new policy in effect for the lowered $200 price rewind? Originally, it was supposed to be safe for purchases up to July 29. The employee may have messed up.
Does anyone know if American Express price protection covers competitor prices? All I could find on the AmEx website was insurance coverage or if the retailer won't accept a return within 90 days you can get up to $300 back. For all the great things I've heard about American Express some of the benefits seem a little lackluster.
Just received my 55" C8 from Greentoe a few hours ago. Bought Thursday, Shipped Friday, Arrived today all for $1700.
Absolutely couldn't be happier with using them. Sure I maybe could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere, but I am definitely a Greentoe believer now, and more importantly an LG OLED believer. Even un-calibrated this set is gorgeous.
Deal found on SlickDeals:
Memorial Day Sale - BuyDig.com (company is related to Beach Camera).
LG OLED55C8P 55" - $1599 + free shipping 800-617-4686 Ext. 1 and mention the price of $1599

If you miss the sale, you can get it even cheaper next month. Prices drop quickly until the holidays.
It's almost Sunday again. This deal will likely be available again. They seem to run the same deals almost every week. If you are looking to buy, call in.
BuyDig.com LG Authorized Dealer has a call-in special on Sunday 06/10. I still think we can do much better on 4th of July. If you must have it for World Cup, shipping may take a week.
Can anyone tell me how far they dropped last year? I saw the post from camelcamelcamel from the previous page. I am looking at a 65" C8, but I am waiting for a bigger drop. I can definitely wait it out. I rather buy from Amazon,Dell, & Best Buy because of 12/24 month financing options, but these Slickdeals are hard to pass up.
In for 1 as well! Went for the 65" and really looking forward to viewing sports, movies, and gaming on the LG C8. Beach Camera sent me an email and indicating it should arrive Thursday.
Great service as usual from buydig, fedex delivered my set yesterday. Got it home my daughters uncle helped set it up on the stand for me. Picture is beautiful.
According to Slickdeals, BuyDig is doing a call in special tomorrow on the 65C8 for $2299, and the 55C8 for $1549. From what I gather, BuyDig is a reputable company. Has anyone bought through their call-in specials in the past? Is the purchase made over the phone? How long is the typical shipping time?
Yeah, they're legit. I've ordered a few things (my LG 55C6 for one) and have had nothing but great experiences. Wouldn't think twice about ordering from them. This deal is tempting. Looking for a TV for my new Philly condo, but not quite ready to pull the trigger.
