I mentioned Best Buy, I need to get it from a retailer brick and mortar, and is beach camera authorized dealer? I am asking if in main stream retailer will we see lower price for Black Friday or pre super bowl?

Beach Camera is authorized per LG. https://www.lg.com/us/authorizeddeal...ized_retailers

Best Buy should be able to price match. Failing that, you should be able to get a price match from the smaller chains - I know Video Only does it in my area.

Black Friday and the pre-Super Bowl period are traditional times to pick up some great buys on TV's in general.

Beach Camera is an LG authorized dealer.

Here is a list of LG authorized dealers:

Yeah I am debating waiting for Black Friday or scratching the itch now. Last year Black Friday and pre super bowl were identical prices and I though around Labor Day as well.

Doubt if Best Buy will match Beach. First Beach doesn't advertise that price so you really don't have an advertised price for BB to match. That would definitely be a YMMV situation.

I think I may wait for Black Friday. The new temptation is 77 inch C8 is $4500 and that is tempting.

You could look in the 2018 C8 deals thread for those dates. I imagine that would give you a good idea of the price.

If you have been watching this thread, you will find better deals on the 77C9.

I just started watching these tread, but since I had a bad online tv purchase experience a while back I will stick with Best Buy, they have always treated me right. I am hoping the C9 77 gets to $5K or less for Black Friday then I will jump in. I was waiting on TLC 8 series, but sitting in my pitch black room I know the OLED is my only real choice.

I bought my 77C9 from a Walts (authorized dealer) online. No problems. I also purchased the additional two year warranty from LG.
Why not use your saving to buy an LG warranty?
I seriously doubt LG will deny any warranty claim after that ?

I have thought of that, but Beat Buy has been a stronger advocate than dealing direct. When I got my C7 it has purple tint and I know LG would have fought me more while Geek Squad squeezed LG to replace panel and they did. I know for 45 days if for any reason I have a dislike BB will come pick up the set, online retailers force you to deal with LG or pay the shipping back. I usually get the geek squad warranty. I did buy my VT60 plasmas online when they were being discontinued as Bb was sold out. For those I did square trade warranty and 3 years later sold both plasmas for $800 each as they were still under warranty and had been professionally calibrated by Chad B.

Greentoe keeps emailing me saying the 77C9 is dropping price. Probably happened two or 3 times now. Wouldn't be surprised if they would accept a $3999 offer. Waiting now though to see what TCLs 8 series are going to offer before I make a buy.

XBR55X850C, Denon AVRX6300H, Polk RTi10, CSi3, 65RT, 70RT, PSA V1500, Oppo 203.

I sense a lot of paranoia there!! you'd paid extra $1k plus tax from BB because they treat you well?!
Seriously! go get the $4K deal and stop complaining. LG gives you warranty and you won't pay for any shipping or anything. get squaretrade warranty from costco for only $99 or so

Sorry, but Costco no longer offers that...

Now, you have to buy the TV from Costco.

AVR/Pre-pro: Marantz 8805/7705 or 8012, or Yamaha 5200 or 3080

Maybe, time will tell, also square trade has some limits, such as total repairs can not exceed cost of TV, so if they eat a panel and say the panel is 3$k and a year later the panel goes again they will write you a check for the balance of the cost of TV minus previous repair. I will need to look into LG warranty. I don’t see the Beach deal is still good. Still likely going to wait for Black Friday.

If you are aiming 77C9 forget about BF.
BF deals are for the big mass so smaller and low end TVs not few people looking for 4-5 grand TVs

I got a Greentoe offer for $3999 today, however there is tax for me, so I passed on it. Need to get to 3999 shipped, and then I'm game. If that takes a few more months, so be it.

Offer is still valid. Purchase in store. 100% guarantee you it is valid, at least with in store purchase.

Edit:

It may change next year but nothing confirmed. Trying to verify if Citi rollback and extended warranty programs that were canceled affect the next Costco Citi VISA or not. Will update when notified.

I had heard that if you put in a price of let's say 4K and an authorized dealer accepts it, then you must buy the item? How did you get an offer for $3999?

They won't send you the lowest price immediately. Takes some back and forth.

Certainly not. I’d say a $5500 officially discounted price before the end of August is almost-certain to translate to a widely-available sub-$5000 price by November (meaning $4999).

Might we see a 1 or 2 day dip to 10% below that ($4500)? Perhaps (possibly by covering sales tax or bundling a warranty or other accessories worth $500).

But I doubt we dip officially to $4000 this season...
