It depends what set you get. If you bought a Sony or a LG product and it's been discontinued and they don't have parts to fix it they give you a similar current tv.

And current models get more watered down with time. Look at Led 82" tv's that you payed 5k for one now they sell them for 2K?

I know this is Oled here but not all size fits all and like I said BB is not for everyone.

My 77 inch C9 is being delivered tomorrow. It was shipped through a company called XPO, arrived at the local facility today at which point I called and set up a delivery appointment for tomorrow.

Took a week to get the TV from the east coast to California after accepting the offer. I see they are accepting a slightly lower offer now which is slightly disappointing. But no big deal I absolutely still got an amazing price especially being in California.

What price are you seeing now. Looking to get the 77c9 but comtemplating if I should just hold out for $2800-3000 pricing (hoping we see that post CES).
Looks like greentoe is offering 3700 now. That will probably be the lowest it goes until close out and I would never expect it to hit the prices you are looking for

Best offer I've gotten so far at greentoe for a 65" C9 is $1799 plus tax from an authorized seller.
That compares with $1699 plus tax from the best unauthorized sellers (newegg 3rd party or Ebay).

So about $100 more to go with an authorized seller right now.

Will see if some authorized seller will come down a bit more in the next few days.

Anybody mange to get lower than $1799 plus tax for a 65" C9 thru greentoe with an authorized seller?

Second, if BB does replace your tv, the warranty you have is null and void, and you will need to purchase a new warranty. That's what happened with my E6. After 3 months of ownership, my E6 developed a stuck pixel. If i would have went through LG first. they would have replaced the panel for free, and my BB warranty would have remained in effect. Instead, I called BB, and they replaced the entire tv. About a year later I was checking my BB warranties online, and noticed my E6 was no longer covered. I gave BB a call and asked why my warranty was cancelled. They told me, once the tv has been replaced, the warranty has been fulfilled and I needed a new warranty for the new tv because it had a different serial number. However, if a year passes without purchasing a new warranty, I could not get another one. So lesson learned. Go through LG first during the first year.

While what you say is true, I still called BB as they are authorized to repair and they brokered LG approving my panel replacement for the tint issue. If you look at Square Trade they will only pay for repairs that do not exceed cost of TV. So if you have numerous issues and file each with them once they have paid out total price of TV they are done, even if your TV is not repaired. As for BB repacking TV at 3 months I am surprised they did not just replace the panel.

The new egg deal seems the best, but being that it’s a 3rd party selling it LG doesn’t consider it an authorized dealer?

Plus I know have until January 15 to return or swap it if I want. So far I love this TV. If the LG woudl have goen flat to bottom on stand like the Sony I might have gotten that due to I like WebOS better.
Was that standard price or they negotiated with you?

Here's a warning for greentoe purchases. The shipper they used (XPO) only uses semi trucks. I live in a place that is not accessible to semi trucks. They also do not take the item off the truck. So my only option was to borrow a truck and find some help to get the stupid item off the truck by meeting them about 5 miles from my house. This also raises that there is no way to inspect the item before accepting.

Is this the experience of all other Greentoe users? Or is it specific to only this one dealer? I am considering using them this will a total turn off if universally true.

JMC by the way who was the dealer?

I don't know, this is the only time I've used Greentoe. The main issue is that you don't talk with the actual dealer .. ever. So you have no way that I know of to sort that type of issue out. I obviously would have addressed these issues had I been working directly with the seller. If I ever buy through Greentoe again, I would see if there is anything that can be done about that part of the process. I was just ignorant, so didn't think to make it part of the bid process. So, I'm trying to pass on information that might help another buyer. In reality, the rest of my experience with Greentoe has been good. But, I'll let you know if there are further issues after I pick up the TV today.

I know you are asking about Greentoe, but I would expect all freight to operate this way. Both times I ordered speakers, they were delivered by freight (semi-trailers), and when they called for delivery, they asked if they would be able to get in and out of my neighborhood. In both instances the driver wheeled them to my garage. The TV I order from Amazon in '12 was also delivered by a semi. He helped me carry it into my entertainment room.

I recently bought a sofa, and went to a different company than I was originally going to buy from because the first would not bring it to our house nor bring it in.

The times are a changing.

I bought furniture and electronics for years from a well known western reputable store.

They no longer take furniture away and will take a mattress if it's in pristine condition at the drivers discretion.

You really do get what you pay for, the price clubs appear to be good and I buy my tv's from BB.

Time to be prepared. 100% percent or bust.

My 65" B7A delivered through buydig was delivered FedEx. Left it on the front porch. Perfect.

My 77" C9 delivered through buydig was delivered white glove freight. They not only carried it in then helped unbox it and lifted it on my wall mount for me. Then asked if I needed any help with removing the packaging as they would have taken it all with them to leave a clean house.

FedEx was much faster but I was on my own. Both have pros/cons.

At least two Amazon marketplace sellers said the same thing deliver to front porch or garage.

This curious mind wants to know in Greentoe - 1) If one is not directly communicating with the dealer how does one clarify the delivery issue/options. 2) When does one get to know who the dealer is?

When I wanted to switch from the 77 C9 to the 77A9G I went to a BB that was closer to me and explained that I wanted to order the Sony. Because I had bought their Total Tech Support at the Magnolia Design Center it was not showing in the native BB systems. They called the other store and the guy said to make up for me driving 45 minutes to the other store they would sell me the Sony for $4599. When I went there I asked if they would lower the LG to the same prices and they said they did not have that much room in their system. Sorry for long story, but it sounded to me they could discount the Sony below $4999 without any special effort, so I would try negotiating, but you need to go to a Magnolia Design Center not the Magnolia section in most BB stores. In GA I believe there are only 2 BBs that contain a Magnolia Design Center.

Just an update on the shipping situation. I ended up having to meet the driver at a gas station near me. I managed to drag the box into the house by myself. I also did all the stand install and moving by myself. Not recommended. Overall, I'll probably use Greentoe again. But, I'll be far more careful about the shipping. The 77C9 is awesome

Um, posting deals without links or even the name are useless.
Trustworthy or not

Very disappointed in the number of deals out there for the 65" C9. No change at Crutchfield or BB. The best I've seen is by Vann's, an authorized dealer, from Amazon. $1,698. I like that price. Not sure we'll see authorized dealers go much below that unless it's through Greentoe or someone like that.

You're right. I went to the Amazon page via a Black Friday link and didn't even look at the model as the link said it was a C9. Sorry about that. And AVS is 10X slower than molasses this morning.

I'm looking for that one too. If I don't find a deal, all will not be for lost as the search for it got me out of going to my wife's family's Thanksgiving get-together at the Mebane Golden Corral.

The better deals, if there are any to be had for this particular TV, may be on Cyber Monday given that it's an electronic item 'n all. What worries me is that this particular make, model, & size is so popular & in-demand (sure seems that way from AVS), dealers will be reluctant to put it on sale.

They seem sketchy, the site says they are out of Wilmington DE, found no address with such name there. The area code is MA. BBB shows a company with similar name in Orlando FL. They only take orders over the phone, who does that anymore?

Their price include white glove delivery and a 2 year warranty. Kinda too good to be true.
