if you need a reliable vendor, CostCo is 2049 for the OLED65C9AUA currently. I wonder if the drop is an indication the CX65 will be out early

I am going to be in the market for 55" B9 or C9 depending on the deals. Trying to find something in the $1200 range. I wish I was ready around Christmas when buydig had the 55" B9 for $949.

Yeah but that is a square trade warranty that is $100 to begin with and I've heard the square trade warranties aren't that great.

The CX was literally announced this week. I doubt we're going to see it any earlier than last year's models.

Yes. Someone already returned it once. They found a problem with it. Will you (before the return period is over)?

65" C9 $1799 from Gameliquidators through NewEgg

https://www.newegg.com/lg-oled-c9-65/p/16C-000P-00364

Some folks still not charged tax with NewEgg but if you rather get it local with better warranty the Costco deal for $2079 is pretty damn good. I doubt we will see price less than 1799 for at least the next 50-60 days and maybe even longer.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger this week on this. AAFES has a 14 day price guarantee as well.

For warranties, I think Costco (if you're a member) offers 4 years for 99.99

I recently was house hunting and wow, most new builds have this. The problem has two causes. First, everybody wants an open floor plan, a kitchen, eating area and family room as one big area. That means very few walls without windows. And they want a fireplace - so that usually goes on the one blank wall. Then they want a TV on the wall - well, there's only one spot left.

I hate it. I hate the viewing angle and I hate heating up my electronics even more than they already are. So I never bought one of these places.

Man, the 77 must be selling like hotcakes (relative to supply) since all the smaller ones are getting so well discounted.

I think LG underestimated the 77" demand and therefore there is not near as much of a stock surplus. They will likely manufacture many more 77CX's this year so maybe the prices will continue to be good. There have been several indications LG is trying to keep the prices at least at current levels. A lot of experts seem to think OLED dominance in the market may only have another 2-3 years but time will tell. I think the OLED prices now are quite reasonable but I paid $5200 for my C8 in Aug '28 lol

Still a long way off from reaching consumer levels...2-3 years would be pushing it.

I totally agree. I live in a gated community that started around 1990 and is still being built out. I find that most homes, especially a lot of the newer ones, appear to have little thought given to placement of today's large flat screens and better surround sound systems. I've managed to make my great room work reasonably well, but it has been challenging to avoid the temptation of mounting the TV over the fireplace (too high and too warm). I guess it must be a low priority for many home buyers, unless the house is equipped with a dedicated theater room, which my house doesn't have and I don't want.
