That's the unfortunate part.

The current Costco deal on the 65" C9 is only $178 more than this, and comes with the piece of mind of their superior customer service (concierge) and extended warranty.

I've been waffling back and forth between this set, or the Samsung 65" Q70R, also from Costco, at a little less than half the cost of C9, as as mid-term solution to see what shakes out over the next couple years. Also considering the 65" Samsung Q80R, but its price is close enough to the C9 that I'm not sure it makes sense, even though it seems clearly better than Q70R.

I have one of the few that snatched a 65 C9 at Amazon.ca for $CAD 3k (~$USD 2,200)... This is to replace a venerable Kuro KRP-600M...

Frankly, I would prefer the Sony AG9 because of the motion but price is not reasonable ($5K).

It looks possible to get it from an authorized dealer via Greentoe for roughly $1800.

Huh? A 65" C9 for 1799+178=1977.

It ain't ignorance causes so much trouble; it's folks knowing so much that ain't so

I was talking about the newegg flash link for a 65" C9 for $2500. Not the Greentoe stuff.

65C9 official MSRP down to $3000 by mid-June: https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-OLED65C9PUA-oled-4k-tv

Despite identical launch MSRPs of $3500, the 65C8 was only discounted to $3200 by mid-June didn't drop to $3000 until early August: https://camelcamelcamel.com/LG-Elect...uct/B079V3J3Y9

So depending on how you want to measure it, the 65C9 looks to be tracking 7-10% below the 65C8 (which means we should see prices dip under $2200 by Black Friday).

The 65B9 is almost certain to dip under $2000 and with LGD's new 8.5G plant in Guangzhou starting to ramp next quarter, I think there's a chance we could see the 65C9 dip under that $2000 threshold by November as well...

Well shoot, looks like I missed the costco deal on the 77c9. I guess I'll just wait for sub 5k greentoe or similar deals. I'm in no real hurry, and I'm more interested in the integrated Apple TV support that isn't out yet then things I'll never use like HDMI 2.1 as this will be a bedroom TV.

No reason to wait on price, got mine last week. But you might want to wait for the Sony as the motion smoothing options have artifacts and with them off it's not quite as good as my Kuro. The screen glare is also better on the 11 year old Kuro. Having a hard time deciding whether or not to keep it. It's also got a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. Can't see it while on the couch but it bugs me at this price range.

Put in a offer of $4800 at Greentoe for the 77c9 late last night. It was accepted in about 10min. So maybe I should have tried lower? Either way seems like a good price to me. Definitely better than the Costco deal I was tempted by.

Greentoe told me they cannot guarantee that the dealer that I would be matched with will offer so called white glove service, and bring the TV in my house and unpack it. I am willing to pay extra for such service, but Greentoe said that not all sellers offer such service. Anybody else had this problem? The TV is too big and too expensive for me to want to do it myself.

The TV is not that heavy, absolute worst case you can carefully slide it off the pallet and at least drag it into your garage.

I've never met even a low rent freight driver that wouldn't help pick something like a 90 lb TV up and carry it into the house for a $20 tip. For $50 he'd probably help you wall mount it.

Call your local BB. The Geek Squad at some of them will install TVs that weren't purchased there, in some cases for very low prices.

If you don't have to go up any steps or anything, you should be able to slide the box. The TV itself is 75lbs and even lighter without the stand. I wouldn't attempt to wall mount it solo, but dragging it around shouldn't be too bad.

I had to man handle my 85" tv a few years back from Costco. Now that was FUN! TV itself was 135lbs and the box was HUGE. Still managed to slide it some, but it definitely wanted to tip. Wall mounting it with a friend was even more fun but we managed. Makes me wonder how people did stuff with the 230lb+ flat screen sony tv's back in the day...

I posted this in the wrong forum earlier (2018 forum - freaking Newb mistake). I tried BestBuy match on the $2499 but that was a no go since it wasn't authorized retailer. Called local ABC Warehouse and they will match the $2499 price. Not sure it helps much, but if you don't want to wait for it to ship and there is a local store with supply, might be easier.

Got charged today for the $4800. Greentoe's seller description is pretty vague, but my CC pending change shows the vendor. Double checked LG's website and they are listed as an authorized retailer. Everything looks legit so far. I was a little worried because this is my first time using greentoe.

I doubt you can get the discount with the bundles. BuyDig does specials a lot but I have never seen their bundles included...but most anything can change

I just went through and tried. The good news is that the discount does apply to the bundles. The bad news is that maximum value of the discount is $20. Then I went back and tried just the TV without a bundle, and it has the same "20%, maximum $20" limitation, so the $2399 price cannot be achieved.

Yeah I just took a look and the coupon is gone. It was something like $628 off but it must have been a one day deal.
