You must not live in Charming California.

I live in Stockton which is close to the fictional Charming. Our gang warfare tops the charts but it's not due to our bikers.

So SAMCRO has just turned into an unabashed killing machine. We as viewers as being asked to suspend belief an awful lot with these shoot outs and chases that they always come out on an top of and the police are no where to be found. There is an ending to this story coming soon which I really want to see, it's just too bad that Sutter is turning this into an action film in the process.

Better that than the soap opera it's been lately.

So, all of this bringing down the Chinese is due to Gemma pretending she saw the guy Jax later killed, sitting outside in a car that day at the house? Guess the fork through the skull and beheading wasn;t enough? And no one realized this guy never surfaced after the party?

Agree that only the Son's can shoot straight. Perhaps the Irish mess with the sights on the guns, not like anyone really aims. Juice is apparently going rogue. That should prove interesting. And what great timing to kill of Annabeth Gish from the Bridge to have her show up as the new police chief.

Yep, pretty much. It's all so contrived that they're trying to wipe the Chinese, and idiotic that they just come barging in and don't take ANY hits from their crew, but Sutter is intent on making this all about the mayhem now that there's little left to do but see how many bodies pile up.

Kind of sad, this show started out in the first few seasons with a lot of promise on the Jax as Hamlet story, now it's all gone away.

The last scene of the last episode should have Unser and Jimmy Smits sitting in the cemetary passing a joint back and forth while overlooking the graves of all the club members.

I've been wondering about this too. Gemma tells Jax and the others and they take her word 150%, no questions asked.

It wouldn't hurt to at least have 1-2 of SAMCRO get hit by a bullet or two. Hell, have it be some of the Indian Hills crew.

Not to mention it was 10 days after the murder when she had this revelation.

whats the chances of Unser making it thru the end of the series? And doesn't the shotgun found in the apt. of the 2 hired hit men point to SAMCRO?

yes I agree, bad shots by the bad guys..I think Gemma will survive until the last eppy..

The "prez" of the Indian Hills chapter, also the dad of one of the dead guys, certainly seemed to recognize the gun.

Re-watched the episode off the DVR.... After the incident with the Chinese, the IH president put that same sawed-off shotgun in SAMCRO's black van. They literally froze the camera on it as if it were something "important" (at that point, it was not at all). When he found his son dead, his facial expressions sure seemed like something clicked and he put two and two together.

Ugh, more useless violence for the sake of it this week. 'August made me mad, so let's go kill some black bikers now'.

And then we get way too much Gemma again, being stupid as usual with Jax as enforcer. Was funny to see Jimmy Smits go all postal on that dude though, then go Al Capone on another hapless crew for no apparent reason. And the new sheriff is immediately corrupt (and skanky hot) on Chibbs??

Does this show still have a point anymore?

Agreed biscuit. I cannot believe quite yet though the Sheriff is instantly corrupt. First thing I thought was they were setting up Chibbs and the club for the bribe and there would be a camera in the back of her car there. Yes it would be a little bit of a retread with what happened to Juice, but it would be interesting to see Chibbs' reaction to being plunked into the same situation. And I am also not sure what the "point" or overall arch of the show is anymore, even when taken in total from start to finish. It left the "Hamlet" tracks long ago.

Did the show ever have a point? Its sort or like a Sisyphus tale. Try to go clean. Stuff happens. They kill a bunch of people to get clear. They've just skipped the first step and probably won't get clear this season. This is Sutter's idea of art.

I watched about half if thus week's episode but quit. The show is filled with despicable people who betray and murder each other. I am so tired of that, I'm going to put off watching the show for a week or two at least but keep checking in here to see what those of you who are still watching think.

There's no much left to think about gw, Sutter is determined to send this show down to Hades. All that's left is to count up the bodies at the end.

I've never seen such a nihilistic approach to TV show making before.

Watching Jax descend into a gulf of violence, treachery, and madness that rivals Clay and Gemma combined has been both sad and horrifying. It's hard to imagine that the show could become even more nihilistic than it was before but it has.

Yeah, I fear Sutter is just going for shock and awe over substance this season.

He said there's going to be a massacre in this final season. Episode 1 had one with the Chinese and episode 2 had the small one in the warehouse (4 guys) and a bit larger one outside that club (that they Mayans did).

You know, I've said before that the evolution (or devolution) from Season 1 has been so striking .. sometimes I wonder if Sutter is thinking he is pulling off some sort of Breaking Bad style scenario, but it's just not working, at least for me ..

And once again we have the "Gemma Teller Show" .. I mean, sure, he's married to her but, really .. ??

And I have to agree with bisquit "Does this show still have a point anymore?" ..

I said the same early last season. Jimmy Smits kind of saved the season for me, though. I am just seeing through to the end.
