The Show has been way too different from the comics. Yes they are taking a few events from the comics, but since the roster has been vastly different they are using character swaps. Reading them wont really spoil the fun of watching the show.(considering there was no terminus in the comics and last weeks episode was one of the best)

Non-Spoiler instances: We meet Tyreese early in the comics and is Rick's right hand man. But his fate by the Governor was substituted with Herschel at the Prison.

Bob was switched for Dale with this weeks episode. Dale was written off early because he was not happy that Frank Darabont was no long with the show.

Sophia is alive in the comics to this point, but I believe her parents did not want her in the television show anymore due to the violence so they wrote her character out, violently.

Daryl is not in the comics at all so any tv story involving him is original.

Shane was not around for a long time at all in the comics. And many characters did not make it out of the prison alive.

Which makes you think they're going to use it for a few episodes at least.

The scratchings that the kid found will prove significant. Gabriel may have locked out friends and family to hoard the food.

They said he was cooped up in the church for 17 months?

Yeah, I don't seem to remember any one or two people debating it with Rick. My recollection was everyone was pretty much in agreement. I do recall someone saying it is sure to have been overrun by walkers and that any survivors would have fled.

I'm waiting one line at my favorite Deli thinking of what to eat when the thought of of that delicious brisket type meat the cannibal was eating, Bob Kabob mmmmmmm sandwich!

That reminds me of a story I heard from a crazy Philippino dude, supposably when the Spaniards landed on Philippianes, looking to speard they're goodness" some tribes there were cannibals to wean them off from the taste of people they gave them Pork mainly because it tasted so close to people!

These guys of Terminus have gone too far to be helpped, not even a steady diet of pork can help these guys!

Which doesn't make sense, after what they went through with the governor, they should have been inclined to err on the side of caution, to dispatch any enemies with extreme prejudice.

Hell, there were 4 of them with their hands tied to their backs, about to have their throats slit, to become food.

None of them would be feeling especially merciful after going through that.

Would you presume that a group of people would actively search/hunt for you ? Rick and the group clearly aren't, well, at least until Daryl thought he heard/sensed something. If the Terminus folks were forced to leave, you would think that doing that would be low on their list of priorities - survival would be their main concern. Even the "claimers" were heading towards Terminus while they wanted to find Rick. It just so happened they were going in the same direction.

I think it's obvious Gabriel shut the church up and kept people out that he could've helped especially with the amount of food he had. The walker coming at him in the glasses was later shown in an old picture standing next to him.

My recollection was Rick was the only one that wanted to go back to Terminus and everyone else was like no way.

Yeah, maybe they go with the pork meat standards, nothing raw, and of course they won't eat the feet, too stinky or something.

Thing is, they must be using something to season it with?

So if they can forage for seasonings and briskets to barbecue with, why couldn't they find berries and canned goods?

Or they're just carnivores to the hilt.

Honestly, I could tell. It was a nice looking building but had almost no parking at all and it was in the middle of nowhere.

Like the prison "set" that had a treeline right next to the fence the locations give away the buildings that have been built for the show.

BTW, if they try to represent the Termites' view that they had no other choice, they had to go cannibal to survive, that would be a bunch of crock.

Of course, you can't raise livestock in this world. But there should still be wild game that the walkers can't get to, so there should be game out there and I don't mean just squirrels for Darryl.

Worse comes to worse, they can also look for insects as a source of protein. In fact, some argue it's ecologically better than raising livestock for food.

They should also be able to raise enough vegetation, if they can secure enough land area. The prison would have worked if not for other humans.

Certainly its tempting to go for canned and other processed foods but then they're going for slow death.

I'd think that any lake that had decent fishing would have "can't miss" fishing after two years of disuse. That plus a few local veggies and fruits and you could live as long as possible.

Personally, since they are close enough, I'd head to Tennessee and break into the Jack Daniels cellars. Stockpile enough of that and people will be falling over themselves to bring me fine meats and cheeses.

Lots of people mention islands, but watching walkers cross streams in several episodes and actually persist alive underwater(like the leader that the Govenor killed and sunk on chains right off the fishing dock - is it possible a heard might just walk into the water and walk along the bottom of the lake bed or ocean floor to find your island?

Yeah, the scratchings on the outside of the church and the message carved in "you'll burn for this" makes me think he locked out his flock. Perhaps even the lady with glasses in the picture with him.

We also have Daryl and Carol in hot pursuit of the car that kidnapped Beth. The show is cooking with gas now.

I said the same thing. Where's the parking lot? This place is in the middle of nowhere. Being Georgia it might be one of those dueling banjos churches.

Spoiler!

According to this classic gem, zombies ride the current to Alcatraz to feast on the survivors who are holed up there.
