That's cool. I guess I hadn't gotten that far in watching TWD yet. I tend to enjoy creative camera work, provided it isn't overdone. Things like that contribute to my interest in the show.

Both episodes had super cheesy musical montages that felt terribly out of place, and this one was virtually incoherent with regard to what happened to the tree. I had no idea how it fell down, who it fell on, etc. His camera was almost never pointed in the right place to get a clear sense of the action.

Well that doesn't bode well for you regarding the third walking dead series coming. He stated on Talking Dead he is directing episodes on there.

Any of you watch S10 Ep 5 yet? (most recent). I kind of liked it.

Negan's a talker and a survivor .. where the character goes from here on looks like a toss up to me .. sure, he'll try and ingratiate himself with the Whisperers, he has no choice .. the one thing that seems certain is AMC wants to continue to milk the character .. and I guess the jacket and Lucille (#2) have somehow become iconic ..

I don't think Alpha is going to allow any relinquishment of her power to Negan, and Beta seems to be very aggressive toward any outsider .. yet Negan may still relish a leadership position .. how all this goes is anybody's guess ..

The other thing we know is, Negan generally won't shut up ..

Was that the real Lucille? He made a comment he had to "wrap it" first and needed time. Then they showed the missing barbed wire on the fence. It looks different too. Plus he only mentions finding the jacket in the back of a storeroom not about Lucille.

Pretty dang good episode. Neegan is the highlight now. With how much we (in my house) hated him, he has become the favorite character that is the most enjoyable to watch.

I did NOT think that was the real Lucille, I got the impression he made it. Anyway, to me its good to see Negan with it again, and with the jacket. Could get interesting now.

I haven't seen any of them yet. I keep meaning to but haven't. I can't believe it's already ep 05. Even though I thought Negan should have been summarily executed a long time ago, I'm glad he's getting some airtime.

FWIW, I am enjoying Jeffrey Dean Morgan's performances this season more than when he was running the bad guy outfit.

They confirmed on the Talking Dead that is was a new Lucille. They called it Lucille 2.0.

We saw him make it. He stole a regular baseball bat and then took the barbed wire that the Whisperers had put everywhere and made the new Lucille.

I thought it was a very good episode except for the very start with the mute girl' why would she even by her self and killing a wild pig or boar with that little sling shot was absurd. Boars are very hard to kill' even a 223 round has to be a perfect shot to kill one. But I regress' the Negan part was great. And the Negan want to be was a nut case. Great to see Negan bash his brains out. What happens next is no telling. Looks like the King has cancer and wont be around much longer' I liked his part. Cant wait until next week.

It was established previously on the show that the slingshots fire magic pebbles that can penetrate a skull with the power of a .45.

Yeah, that had me shaking my head. Maybe the average viewer has no idea. I can see them wanting to add variety to the weapons being deployed, but I think the sling shots were a poor choice. Maybe you could get a rabbit with one if you were really good. I see this as being conceived by Hollywood people with no real world experience.

The Daryl Connie scenes have been pretty good. Lauren Ridloff (Connie) is fantastic. About the only character worth caring about any more on this show.

The Walking Dead is having a creative renaissance

While The Walking Dead may not dominate online watercooler discussion every Monday morning like it used to, it is still easily the most watched scripted cable series on television...And the fans who are still watching have been rewarded for their devotion with some of the best story lines and developments in the show’s long, illustrious run...why is The Walking Dead having such a creative renaissance? Here are five reasons...

I think part of what EW does is promote tv watching.

It was pretty good. I thought the scene with Eugene and the unknown woman on the radio was rather poignant.

Ok, or what if it was a woman with those people who took Rick away in the helicopter!

I can't remember now, did the mystery radio woman say her name? What if it was the woman who was in love with the videographer woman???

It's a TV show. And one about zombies. Basically every TV show ever made has crap in it that doesn't align with capabilities in the real world. That has always been the case and most likely always will be.
