Between this game and baseball, I think my TV wants me to play video games tonight.

What's with the ringing bell? Is that a sound they play in the stadium?

Now 28-0 2nd quarter.

More interesting top is what do Colts do with Andrew Luck rather the the production of this game.

I think it's up to Geico to entertain the 5 people who might have it on, but they don't need insurance.

62 7. No one is watching anymore so it's hard to comment on the picture and audio quality. But it was good earlier when I was checking the score.

Their offense should have been affected, but Indy's defense is shameful. Blech. The NFL should bar them from any more prime time games this season.

62/7?

It's no longer football at 30 points, but you can't 'Turn Out The Lights' on national TV advertising for an hour.

Sad

I said in another thread that this game looked interesting pre-season (a Super Bowl XLIV rematch) but Peyton's neck surgery and his absence from the games has ruined any chance this season of the Colts being competitive.

Starting Kerry Collins at QB didn't help either. Curtis Painter appears to be the better option right now. Where is Jim Sorgi pray tell these days?

The Colts should do the right thing - let Peyton not play at all this season, even if the doctors say he's healthy enough near the end of the season, it's just not worth the risk.

And also, hope the woeful Dolphins win at least one more game than Colts. Colts can draft Mr. Luck, and having Peyton mentor him would be wonderful. (Luck might turn down the Dolphins if they have the #1 pick and stay at Stanford since he has another year of eligibility there).

I think the NBC game you're referring to is against my Pats, which is a shame. That's one Prime Time Indy killing I'd watch.

Indy has a game @ NE on SNF in week 13 which can be flexed, and another primetime game on NFLN that cannot be.

My guess is we get DET @ NO on SNF that week. All other weeks look to be pretty safe from flexing.

I would think Fox would protect Det/NO. Or is that not possible anymore?

The NFL page on flex scheduling makes no mention of it: http://www.nfl.com/schedules/tv/flexible

But wikipedia says each network can protect up to 5 games, no more than 1 per week. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_on_...ble_scheduling

Furthermore Detroit is one of only 2 teams to have never appeared on NBC SNF.

The 2nd most compelling game IMO would be GB @ NYG, but GB has already been scheduled to appear on SNF 3 times, making them ineligible I think (edit: nevermind its a max of 4 games on NBC). CBS doesn't have any really good matchups that week.

well since flex scheduling turns out to be quite limited, what do the colts do with andrew luck and manning (if healthy)?

First off, after this I'm not sure Luck wouldn't prefer to go to Miami. Losing your starting QB shouldn't make a team anywhere THIS bad.

Secondly, Manning is under contract for 4 more seasons (not counting this one) @ 18 million a year. Can a team afford to pay that kind of money to their QB AND #1 pick in the draft type money to someone who will be on the bench?

With the new CBA it is definitely possible and highly likely if the Colts get the #1 pick.
