I agree, it was some pretty odd/kinky foreplay. Maybe the writers are, uh, never mind...

Maybe if there had been even the least amount of sexual or emotional interactive foreshadowing behavior exhibited between the two characters, their "hook up" may have felt plausible.

But instead, it just feels forced, with the writers throwing characters together for the sake of titillating surprise, borne out of creative desperation.

I agree. They are trying to create some more inter office drama. Almost like ratings are sliding and they thought this might bring in some viewers.

Aren't there three more episodes? One this week and two in January?

Thanks for the reminder!

The previews said "last fall episode" or something. Forgot it will pick back up after the holidays.

I dunno, but I hope they keep thinking it. Mozhan Marnò is one classic beauty -- tall, dark, and gorgeous. That tank top was... nice.

That said, her sudden fling (and I'm assuming that's what it is) with Ressler is indeed kind of strange and is coming out of left field. I hope there's a plan & a payoff.

I dunno. I seem to recall in some recent episodes eye contact between them that hinted of what was to come.

Emotional involvement is a tried and true leadin to tragedy. Look for Samar to follow Ressler's wife.

Now I'm wondering if Netflix will have the first half of the season next week or early December since they paid $2 million an episode for the show. There are 22 episodes per season overall.

Hmmm, interesting conclusion to the fall half. I hope they aren't writing Samar out, but it sure looks like it.

It seemed a little to convenient that the FBI lady went to the chairwoman's house.

Did the FBI guy at the scene of the arrest grab the valuable suitcase and take off?

More likely, I think she'll go work with Cooper & Tom or Reddington to help clear Keen.

As exciting as this week's show was and despite James Spader's typically delightful performance, it was as monumentally dumb as anything I have ever seen on TV. Ressler's overwrought cluelessness made the dim-bulb thugs who snatched Reddington seem (almost) intelligent. As preposterously impossible as Samar's hookup with Ressler was in last week's episode, it faded into insignificance compared to Reddington's biblically unlikely random kidnapping from a gas station while he was filling up a beat up old Jeep wagon. Alas, there was a whole lot of shark jumping going on there. Nevertheless, I am still onboard. Despite the show's descent into Saturday morning cartoon silliness, it's worth suffering through to see the peerless Spader at work. I'm still glad it's off until January. After the last couple of weeks, I needed a break.

gw,
We saw it the same way. I thought it was incredibly convenient that Red got recaptured after shooting the guy in the trailer. That seems so unlike Red.

Also, wouldn't Red have just paid them off in the beginning to save time?
