NYPD Blue on DirecTV (Audience)

Hey all,

Quick question. I have been watching this on Audience. They started back a few months ago showing every episode in sequence (starting with S01E01). This continued up until the past Friday (which was S03E17). Now this week it appears they are starting over with the Pilot again, and then one random Season 3 episode (S03E20).

Taking a shot in dark to see if anyone has any information on this? Never saw this when it originally aired and have been enjoying it a great deal over the last couple months.

Thanks,
Travis

The entire 12 seasons are available to stream on Amazon, free with Prime.
DVD releases have only just begun for seasons 5-12, about 3 seasons per year coming from Shout! Factory . Seasons 1-4 were released on DVD by the network a long time ago.

David Milch was involved with the show up till season 7, and is responsible for the terrific dialog. After he left the story is still pretty good but the dialog suffered.

Thanks for the info ... been enjoying the HD remaster of the show that they have been showing on Audience ... looks like originally didn't begin to show in HD until Season 9.

Regardless if DirecTV stops showing the show sequentially, at least I know where to look to continue watching ... thanks RDGrimes

I was wondering the same thing. It's been my nightly relaxation therapy. Guess I'll have to renew my Amazon subscription now.

I just finished binge watching the entire series on Prime.
They just don't make shows like this one any longer.
Excellent!!
shivaji and TeeJay1952 like this.

Perhaps I misremembered.

Glad this one came up. We watched the series starting late in its run and never watched the early ones. I took the suggestions here and watched the first three episodes. This ages well and Caruso is before he turned into a posing idiot. I’ll keep coming back as Franz is spectacular as Sipowitz.
