I am really looking forward to Better Call Saul. The mere mention of a sequel to an iconic TV series like Breaking Bad would ordinarily have me putting my fingers in my ears and singing at the top of my lungs. Everything I have read about this sequel, though, has encouraged me to watch it. Only time will tell, of course, but as of now color me cautiously optimistic.

You can't top or even match breaking bad. For one thing, the Saul character will not have the arc that Waller White did. He will evolve from a slightly scuzzy lawyer tofully scuzzy lawyer. On the other hand, Gilligan and company have learned more over the BB years and will be putting all that skill they've honed into this show. Cautiously excited.

Odenkirk owned it .. while most certainly the show is it's own entity, if he can keep it up, there may be an Emmy at some point ..

Love the style production wise plenty of what made BB so good with excellent eye to detail, gritty and all, the script was also well written and Bob's acting has improved a whole lot.

Great show and I'll keep on watching.

Very slow. The same way I felt about breaking bad for most of season one until Tuco came in and walter shaved his head. For me I hope it doesn't take that long to get going. If so, I'll just binge watch off dvr in the summer where I can fwd the slow parts.

I will say the lead up press about "the first episode being as great as breaking bad" was blatantly false.

I was sold on its Breaking Bad-like cinematic style when they lingered on showing the TV/VCR cart being slowly pushed into place in the courtroom. Lots of other shots had unique angles and perspectives not often employed on other shows.

BB certainly didn't start off with all this expectational baggage hanging over its head, so we should give BCS the same breathing room. I want it to stand on its own, with the occasional Easter egg that BB fans will appreciate.

I don't want a show to start like Lost just to get my attention. Slower is fine. Sipped rather than gulped.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask .. you thought the first few episodes of BB started the show off slow .. ?? Episode One, Two and Three which are really the lynchpins to the entire show packed more into 40 minutes each than some shows pack into a season .. myself, I was riveted from the get go .. Krazy-8, Emilio dissolved in acid, RV, etc etc ..

Sorry dude. That first season was slow as heck to me. It was pretty much one thing happening per episode until Tuco. That first season was not even close to the Gus Frain seasons and beyond.

It's okay for me not to feel the same way u guys do. It happens. I'm sure you guys don't feel the same way I feel about 24, The shield, Sons of Anarchy, The wire, Justified, Game of Thrones, etc.

The Wire, ROFL, talk about slow. I am amazed people have this lame show even in the top 10 of all time. A bunch of black people wearing clothes 15 sizes too big, using the N word 10392758 times a show, while selling drugs, so original. It makes me sad if its really something that goes on in the hood of Baltimore, or any other place. I gave that show into season 4, then gave up, boooooooooooooooooooooooooring.

I respect your opinion. It's okay to not like things.

I do think if you watched the show you would see more than "a bunch of black people". Be sad, because I had family in Baltimore and DC and it was really rugged out there. We were part of that "bunch of black people" that made it out of the hood.

I did watch it, so not sure what more you expect from me. I agree different strokes for different folks, but when it comes to calling a show slow, that one for me takes the cake.

I thought it intriguing that they started with the Cinabon sequence. I think we can assume that Gilligan intends to take the story over its full arc, ending somewhere around the Walter White years. So maybe 6 seasons?

Wow I wish you had given up sooner than Season 4 because you have no idea what a good show based on your description of the Wire. That isn't even close to what it is. And you come off extremely racist and ignorant.
