Yeah, I thought that was kinda, well......lame. I mean, seriously? You gotta be desperately stupid for that to happen, and clearly these dudes have been around the block a few times, so the likelihood of this is plain not. Then again, maybe they were so confused by Nick's presence in the herd that they just got tunnel vision. Yes, I'm trying to make excuses for something that should not have happened.

I have to agree with the majority here. Nick is not a strong enough character to carry an entire episode - if they flashed over to the crew in the pickup truck then back a couple times it might have worked better (maybe). I hope this episode doesn't portend an entire episode of the father with the younger son because they aren't strong enough characters to carry an entire episode either unless there's a lot more action going on.

...as said earlier, REALLY, stay around picking up 5 or 6 dropped bullets and get eaten instead of hopping in the Jeep?

...and if I was Nick I would have been hiding outside that house where he tried to spend the night. The bat woman would have to sleep or go outside sometime - and I'd have my stuff back one way or another.

I liked the concept of the episode and the journey, plus the way it was filmed/visuals was really cool. However, to many dumb things in it, Nick not being able to stop a bat wielding person in close quarters and instead just keeps getting hit. The lame guys that can't step backwards from a slow moving walker and suddenly get bitten was laughable. To many parts of the whole were just not enjoyable which took away from what they were trying to accomplish.

On a side note, the actress playing the new character (Luciana) was on Talking Dead. WOW!

Speaking of Talking Dead, anyone else with DirecTV have their DVR show information for a TWO hour length recording of Talking Dead instead of the more accurate 1 hour it was actually aired? I was confused when I sat down to watch Sunday's DVR recording of Talking Dead and it showed 2 hours worth of recorded material....but the actual show was only 1 hour long.

I'm on AT&T Uverse and got the same thing; 2 hours for Talking Dead. I assumed that it a sly move to get you to record the new show (can't remember what it was) that came on right after Talking Dead.

Awesome. I watched season 1 and was wondering when season 2 would come around. Now I have the first episode by accident.

Oh, and to stay on topic. I enjoyed the first episode of Fear. I liked the journey and am curious about the destination now.

Fear the Walking Dead on AMC HD

Who is in charge of editing over there? First Junkie Depp was smudged in blood on his face, then covered, then smudged and covered again all within a few scenes.

But didn't those scenes cover a long time period? Where the sweat washed off much of the blood? And then he put more on from the dog or something?

So he repainted the blood to match EXACTLY every other scene? It was bad editing or they did a bad job of planning while filming out of sequence.

I don't know if he his face and arms matched the blood exactly. His shirt pretty much stayed the same since he probably wasn't adding to much to it except for the last time it looks like he added more. Every time, right before he was covered again, they showed him either looking at a walker or encountering something that he could use to add and then the next scene it was there.

I rewatched it on DVR. It does appear they matched every other scene.

So... I liked the episode. I think it was a move toward character development. I suspect we will get episodes focusing on all the characters this way. I thought it was pretty well done (within the limitations of B grade TV).

This show surely won't last long at least not with the original crew, they seem to do everything in their power to get offed. Alysia(sp?) seems to be one of the only ones that at least has a survival instinct, but she's surrounded by the rest of them.

I realize the FTWD crew is stupid, but really?!?!? The drunken noise fest in the bar seemed like a good idea? And we're supposed to believe that walkers in their rooms 10 floors up could hear it loudly enough to attract them? I guess it's a good thing everyone left their balcony doors open before dying in their rooms. And how do you have a bunch of single dead walkers in hotel rooms? That many people died of natural causes, committed suicide, or got a bite and died alone in their rooms?

Where did the walkers in the stairwell come from? Alicia claimed they checked the doors and all were locked when she was arguing to do a room by room search. I guess some of them have lock picks.

It may be Ofelia's doing, who knows, she just decided to disappear and she seemed to be off in her on little world. Overall this whole crew seems pretty self destructive.

I've never had a drink in my entire life, not even a taste of a beer or anything and after watching how stupid they were I almost wanted to start drinking. Who the hell get's drunk during a zombie apocalypse in an unknown place? If you're in a compound or place you know is safe with others I get it go get hammered to blow off steam and escape a horrible reality for a while. But to do it where and like they did is just stupid. You'd have to want to get killed to do what they did.

But remember the crew hasn't dealt with the walkers very much. So they don't have the info we have.

1) Strain cannot play the piano
2) It's raining Walkers or whatever they call them in the show, reminded me of Z Nation comedy
3) The use of Walker blood as masking is a popular treatment, much more so than Original Walking Dead
4) The Abigail is Gone .. ?? If so, a vital cast member has passed ..
5) So far, Season 2 has exceeded Season 1 in the area of boring
6) Even Chris Hardwick seems underwhelmed or his meds have not yet kicked in
7) A makeshift Mexican Village that sacrifices a Human regularly keeps the Walkers at Bay .. ??
Or did I see that wrong .. ??

Sacrifice?? Those were the people that lived there that had died. When they are ill and going to die, before they die they send them into that area with the Walkers. At least I heard something like that when i watched the episode.

If it's any consolation, this episode was marginally better than Nick's walkabout episode. It just comes down to I don't care for any of the characters. Well, not true. I liked the Abigail. Now she's gone.

It's pretty bad when the best character is a yacht but I agree, I could care less about these people. I watch simply because my wife does and because we watch the original.
The best part of the episode were the zombies hitting the ground and getting back up, that was indeed creppy.

It was still ridiculous. No one can say, "Hey bud, when I turn I'll be your bodyguard". Yet that buffer zone of walkers just mulled around waiting for their occasional offering instead of piling on the fence and drooling at the colonia like well behaved walkers do. Now I don't know what the visually able-bodied man was dying of, but sending him to be eaten alive without the aid of mind altering drugs was really ghastly.
