I think people are getting way too hung up on whether Mr Robot is real. I tend to ignore that part and enjoy other aspects of the show. (I'm not into puzzle watching.)

FWIW, I think Mr. Robot is a projection. Most of the times, Eliot understands this at some level, which is how the audience sees MR as not real. When MR appears to interact with other people, it is Eliot himself doing the interacting in the Mr Robot persona while observing himself at a remove as Eliot.

Mr. Robot - USA Network

The range of emotions Malek has cd across his face and through is eyes is something special. That end scene to see all of those come out was just wow. This to parallel what Tyrell went through earlier in the episode when he got called out. Both where in situations that they thought they could control when really they didn't have any at all. Amazing show.

One thing did we ever see Elliot's reflection in Mr Robots glasses? For a second I didn't think he was there. Every interaction I see more and more that this may be Elliot's projection of his father.

Really like yesterdays episode. Nice change of pace. I won't spoil anything, but it was odd someone was left alive at the end. Had a slight Breaking Bad feel to it. It's like every week they guy who writes this is "inspired" by some good movies or TV shows. We have the obvious Fight Club and American Psycho to lesser Requiem for a Dream and Breaking Bad vibe. I fully expect a Red Wedding scene ala GOT where Elliot's entire crew is wiped out.

Can't spoil anything since the show already aired I don't think it was odd at all. There are reasons for everything

I thought this week's episode was the best of the season, its gut wrenching ending notwithstanding. In any event, it was well done. I suspect that Vera will come to regret his decision to leave Elliot alive.

Too many characters esp. 3 potential female leads.

They needed to cull.

CTO vs Tyrell was good.

He offered his watch to pay off little place in Chelsea, probably worth millions.

I don't know, they did leave him standing there with his fingerprints all over the car and a dead girl in the trunk.

I think the CTO is underestimating Tyrell's wife, who appears to have the brains in the family.

When Vera tossed Elliot the keys, my stomach sank. We knew where that was going. Poor Shayla. She never had a chance.

Very interesting directorial choices this episode, with characters frequently very low in the frame or shifted off to the sides. When Elliot opened the trunk, we knew what was in there, but the director teased it along for a very long time before finally showing it.

It took me a while to place the actor playing Isaac. He was Benji on Reaper! This is a very different role for him.

I knew she was in there but I had no idea if she was still alive. It could have gone either way. Especially since he left Elliot alive.

Well a lot of these characters are figments of his imagination so maybe they're not all dead.

I think this side plot with Vera and Shayla was just for filler, to produce a 13-episode season. This last one was good but it's a detour from the whole season-long Fsociety-Evil Corp arc.

Though the previews make it appear Elliot is going to relapse back to coke/heroin as a way to cope with Shayla's death maybe, which would affect the Evil Corp project.

I think it's possible Vera didn't know Shayla was dead when he handed Eliot the keys. It's not like Vera and his brother were on the same page as to how everything would go down.
It really didn't make sense to kill her in a lot of ways if Vera wasn't going to kill Eliot, and it could even be considered a lapse that Eliot never bothered to get confirmation that she was still alive, especially after his "heart-to-heart" with Mr. Robot in the stairwell.

Can't be. The girl from Allsafe and him grew up together. Most likely a manifestation of his dad.

It's over the course of one day, so who would expect her to be dead that fast. I wonder how soon they killed her. It was probably the plan to kill her right away. Vera probably thought she helped Elliot turn him in.

I just caught up today (was 3 eps behind). I have to admit I'm less sure that Mr. Robot / CS is a figment of Elliot's imagination than I was a few episodes earlier. He definitely seemed to be interacting with Darlene in Ep 5. That or the rules aren't quite what we thought they were. The preview for next week seemed to show him interacting as well.

If you take a look back we discussed this to keep it short, that interaction didn't break any of the rules.

Notice Elliot shrinks into the background when they interact with Mr. Robot and vise versa. They never interact with both at the same time. In the episode when they are in the dinner and Elliot has to steal the keycard, the other 2 guys across the table only talk and stare at Elliot. Then Mr. Robot gets up and steals the keycard. He switches between the 2 personalities, but it is still just Elliot.

Yes, I read the discussion. I'm not so sure that the writers aren't going to turn this one on it's head in a big mess with the audience moment.

A lot of loose ends in last night's episode, and will be interesting to see if they are tied up in a way that is somewhat plausible or believable.

This week's episode seemed like a mid-season reboot of the series with a couple of interesting twists and developments.

Interestingly Mr. Robot was shown by himself (without Eliot present) interacting with two different fsociety members, while Eliot was only shown and the beginning and very end of the episode. Hmmmm....

Speaking of which, moving scene and very well acted at the end in the therapist's office. Not to cheapen it, but why can't I meet a professional, educated woman who likes to watch anal porn?

It's a 10 episode season. If not then the usual suspects are giving a helluva deal to "own" the season.

Book it,this show will get cancelled any day now.. This show is terrible. The main guy drives me and my girl crazy! Tell me why listening to the main character narrate/babble inside his head is enjoying? The premise of the show sounded cool, but it was not what it looked to be on the surface. Its terrible. If it makes it to season 2,I would be stunned. Its just painful to watch. Almost Human was 10 X better than this crap and it got cancelled.. Stupid !

"Any day now" I guess that second season renewal doesn't count...unless you mean "any between now and the next 2-3 years after this season has aired". You are also in the minority heavy critic favor and a strong fan base this show has.
