I honestly don't recall where I left off. I had a pile of episodes sitting on my DVR and it crashed. Don't know if it's worth trying to track them down and picking up. Sort of lost interest.

All 3 seasons are available on Prime Video if you have it. To me I’d say it’s worth it, but I’ve liked all of of seasons thus far.

I've really enjoyed it. It's a head scratcher, but in a good way. You have to pay attention. Especially loved the one-continuous-shot episode in S-3 where a crowd of anarchists invade the E-Corp building. That was a tour-de-force of filmmaking.

That was one of the best episodes of the whole series.

Into S3 now. The Wellicks and Evil CEO Phillip Price allowed me to slog through S2. More interesting than "Dad" and Elliott.

Thanks. I worked my way through the end of season 2, I did see all of it. Started season 3, looks a bit more interesting.

You haven’t missed anything. They are about to start shooting for season 4 so probably somewhere close to EOY for a release date.

Not surprising there's been such a delay in getting S-4 produced considering Rami Malek has been kinda' busy lately being "a champion" 'n all.

I played catch up, last few episodes of S2, now I'm mid way into S3. S3 is a great improvement over S2.

Edit: I finished the season tonight and have to say it's a vast improvement over season 2. Now it's got me curious where they will go in the final season, hope we don't have to wait too long.

I'm going to need to watch a very thorough recap before the new season starts. I have little memory of where things left off.

Amazon has a 7 minute "story so far" to watch ahead of S3. Hopefully they give us like a 10-15 minute one for S4 cause it's been a really long time.

That was pretty nifty job of recapping! ^^^ The plot has thickened to the consistency of taffy, but who cares? It's still one of the coolest shows on TV.

I binged both seasons of Westworld and didn't have any major problems with it. Some shows are just better to binge, and I'm sure Mr. Robot falls into that category. Unfortunately I'll be watching weekly just like all the past seasons. I won't be able to wait until the season ends to start watching.

As far as what we like to do here in this forum, weekly shows on cablenets or premium networks like HBO are better. It gives us a chance to discuss them knowing we're all on the same page. These streaming "binge" shows that drop all their eps at once don't get anywhere near the activity because everyone is literally at a different place in the season.

Putting the discussion in spoiler tags helps keep the plot lines under wraps, but makes for a difficult back & forth as various theories are proposed & chewed over, etc.. There's none of the weekly flurry of activity after a new episode premieres. A few posts pop up here & there months later as people finally get around to watching it, but there's no discussion possible because most of us have moved on.

I'm really worried about 'The Expanse', one of the most popular shows amongst our group here. Apparently they're going to be dropping all at once now that it's moved to Amazon, so I suspect the weekly thread discussions with my peeps that I've looked forward to will slow way down.

I hear you. It goes both ways for me. There are several shows I've binged a year or two after they first aired that I seemed to enjoy more than some folks who watched weekly and who in the threads complained about pacing issues, convoluted/confusing storylines, etc. which weren't an issue for me as a binge-watch. On the other hand, this past summer I gave up halfway through watching Twin Peaks on Showtime because the story got too confusing and convoluted and I wasn't able to discuss the episodes on a weekly basis to help me clear things up (searching for answers online always risked being exposed to season-end spoilers).

Bottom line for me is I'm unlikely to subscribe to a premium for three straight months mainly to watch one show on a weekly basis, though I am going to try to stick with Showtime for the time being as it's only $7/mo through YouTube TV.

As for The Expanse, I'll miss the protracted weekly discussions, but at the end of the day, I'm just glad we get to see new seasons.

for a show like The Expanse it seems a lot (maybe even most of the members here) have read the books...so in reality the week-to-week discussions are more for non-book readers...the book people already know the outcomes to the major plot lines and characters...I haven't read any of the books and I'm fine with Expanse on Amazon dropping all the episodes at once because the show is so good and I want more...but for a show like Westworld I prefer week-to-week because everyone is on level footing because there are no book spoilers...all things being equal I prefer week-to-week as it promotes more theories and discussion but I also like the Netflix binge model

I think most people actually binge watch shows even when they air on HBO or AMC as binge watching has taken over as the preferred form of viewing

sweet!! If the Expanse is dropped all at once I will love it even more. Much better than weekly.
