I bought season one on VUDU where the stream was 9 Mbps and no ramp up. Quality very good there. I balked on buying the second season of "Fear the Walking Dead" because AMC ordered 13 episodes which made the price high. About halfway through the season there was a sale for $20 for the season. That may well happen with "Preacher" which is selling for $25 for the season now.

IMO Tulip (a.k.a. Ruth Negga) is "hot!"

Is she doing Jesse & the vampire, how is that going to play out?

I'm not a perv I'm just watching the show.

They don't do Talking Preacher after each episode. Only on the first episode and after the last episode of the season.

Man oh man is this season leaps and bounds better than season 1. Wow, that first episode was freaking fantastic. The highway shoot out was rewind worthy. Just fantastic.

I'm pretty sure her having sex with Cassidy was a one-time thing, the way they were talking about it in the first couple of episodes this season. Cassidy felt bad because he didn't know she was with Jesse at the time. There really doesn't seem to be any romantic flirtation between them right now, and he doesn't seem to be Jonesing for her like he was last season. Of course, that could change once Jesse finds out some of the secrets she's keeping from him -- it could cause a split resulting in her reconnecting with Cassidy.

I still think that Fiore and Declerc are not gone for good, and are Genesis' "parents".

Why else would these to low level dudes be chosen to shepherd and guard Genesis? And by WHO? And who are they keeping it secret from?

Bait and switch.

This show isn't about drama or the characters. We need unmitigated action.

It was pretty well established in season one (and the graphic novels) that Genesis is the offspring of an angel and demon mating, and that it was deemed too powerful and needed to be prevented from falling in the wrong hands. From the show’s wiki (no book spoilers): http://preacher.wikia.com/wiki/Genesis

The first graphic novel does explain the heavenly metaphysical hierarchy that put Fiore and Deblanc in charge of protecting Genesis...
Spoiler!

With this episode, there does, however, appear to be another faction to be concerned about.

I'm not bothered by the lack of action in this episode. I almost come to expect it in any show following a more action-packed budget-eating episode.

I hate to break it to you, but the graphic novels the show is based on feature page after page of dialogue and other forms of non-action (even through there aren't any sfx budget limitations on the printed page). But so far, it's all quite entertaining and humorous.

I am a bit curious as to why, when they walk into the bar, asking to see God, they are led down into the bowels of the club to the room with dog-boy inside. I cant quite see the connection.

It's a bit satiric. Apparently, in that bar, "I want to see God" is the code phrase for someone to use to see a depraved sex act show that takes place in a back room....

Hate to break it to you but I am reviewing and reacting to the tv show, not the comic, oops, graphic novel.

Since the use of The Voice draws the SoK I was expecting him to show up and add a bit of excitement to this episode. I felt it was a bit slow, but it didn't detract from my overall view of the series. Now, if the next two episodes are slow then I'll need to adjust that viewpoint, but for now, I'm all in!

Do I sense a bit of sarcasm?

For the rest... wasn't seeing Tracy blow the front part of her head off a cheap enough thrill for you?

Actually, no. I'm pretty much saying that, right now for me, there isn't any drama here. It has to be crazy to keep my interest. The story/characters (maybe the writing/acting) do not interest me very much.

I think this season has been pretty darn good and I dig the characters. Especially Cassidy. He could have his own show. The Adventures of Cassidy the Irish Vampire. It's ****e! ****e, I tell ya!

I have season 1 and 2 (up to current) on DVR and the order of the episodes is random. Should I watch based upon the episode number or the order they were broadcast? I think the first ep is number 6? No ep 1,2, or 3? Ep 4 is far into the season?

Is it even worth the time to watch?

Any info appreciated.

Probably the episode number would provide the best indication of order since AMC (and other cable nets) often re-air episodes at a later date and it might update the date information of the recording when it re-airs. If the episodes have names in your DVR, you can also compare them to the list on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5016504/episodes?season=1

What kind of TV system so you have? If you have a season pass set on a standard cable or satellite TV system, it should have given you all the episodes, unless some got deleted since last year for space. I use PS Vue, so with the 28-day limit on recordings, sometimes the past episodes still available to me on the cloud DVR will appear somewhat random.

He's already on his way, use or not. He's walking so they do have a little bit of time before he shows up.

Yes, but I thought the use of the Voice would "deposit" him in close proximity, that he wasn't restricted to actually walking the whole distance, being a supernatural being and all.

My impression is a short amount of time has passed since Jesse used the voice and I don't recall any specific time-frame when it's use results w/the Gunslinger's appearance.

All I can guesstimate... is he will arrive in N.O. soon... w/guns ablazing.

Thanks for the info. No, no deletions (Dish DVR), just an odd broadcast order vs. episode number. It is all the original recordings, no updates, since. At one point, I altered the recording to "ALL", so if any were missed, they would record upon the second showing (just prior to this year's beginning). Turned out that all the eps were already recorded the first time and no new recording began until the new season.

Good idea with the IMDB site. Did not think about that.
