Yeah I was thinking of re-watching the last few episodes but then I remembered what a bunch of malarkey season 3 was, especially Connerty letting Axe skate on the sabotage of Ice Juice while he focused on Chuck.

We saw Sacker betray Chuck at the end too.

Then in the trailer, you see Connerty being sworn in so I guess he gets Chuck's old job, at least temporarily.

It's back and just as over the top as it's ever been. I enjoy it immensely.

Taylor "gets" Starship Troopers! Taylor was also looking like a mini Wendy there.

Looks like this season will be about getting rid of the Grigor. And maybe TYlor too.

Meanwhile Chuck will have to get some power back in order to exact his own revenge.

This is season 4 so they have to think about an endgame, unless they want t9 run it into the ground like other Showtime shows — Homeland, Shameless.

Thought the same thing about the “Wendy” look. It was a dramatic change. While it was only laying groundwork and setting up intros the show hit the ground running. Looking foreword to this season.

Great season opener. I got a kick out of Chuck's wheeling and dealing to get the gun permit. When Taylor first appeared on screen dressed to kill I had to rewind to make sure that it was Taylor. The title for this season should be "Oh the webs we weave". This is going to be fun to watch.

As long as the Quality stays high, I'll take as many seasons of "Billions" as get dished out ..

Kudos to this Season Opener ..

I got the Oceans vibe from Chucks scenes they even used similar music.

Doubt Chuck is going to do that every episode.

He has no power so he has to suck up a little to the movers and shakers to an extent. He didn't want to get a carry permit for some guy and Chuck Sr. told him he has to bend the knee.

Honestly, it seemed like they didn't have a better story line for Chuck yet.

Presumably at some point, the detente between Chuck and Bobby ends, just as they vanquish their immediate enemies.

Yeah, Taylor looked sensational when she (they, them?) got cleaned up and dressed in designer clothes from head to toe. No matter, Taylor tickles me to death, no matter how Taylor decides to dress.

I thought the season premiere was a hoot. Chuck proved, to me at least, that he is still a formidable dude. Better yet, Wags showed us one more time that he is the gift that keeps on giving.

Taylor's hair looked so perfect in their "dressed up" scenes that I first thought it was CGI! Then I realized the action was slightly slowed down in the scene where Wags spots Taylor walking in as he's leaving the embassy, in an ethereal "rock video fantasy girl" style.

And I loved the scene where Wags tells Bobby that Taylor looked "hot...like Kate Jackson hot!" Way to show your age, Wags! (Heck, way to show MY age for knowing exactly what he means!)

One of this series' best episodes ever. Hope the rest of the season is this much fun!

Wendy seems on a personal Soul Searching journey ..

Chuck (Paul Giamatti) looks to me like he's porked up some since last season .. shirts and jackets look a bit tight ..

Rebecca seems to me to patterned somewhat like Lori Greiner (Shark Tank) ..

Another stellar episode. The Dollar Bill/Chicken Man subplot alone was brilliant.

Wife and I predict Rhodes will go down with a stroke/aneurysm before the season is out based off the telegraphed "migraine" scenes this week.

We also enjoyed seeing more of Taylor's backstory. The breakfast scene was especially poignant.

Yeah the headache could be stroke/aneurysm or possibly cancer. Agreed on it being a stellar episode.

Proving that Axe has a heart in there somewhere ..

Although, he may have met his match with Taylor .. "they" seem to be going with the "Fool me once" philosophy .. the flawed formula was simply genius ..

I loved this weeks episode too. This show goes out of its way to make clever references to lines from classic films and this week's play on the famous closing line in Chinatown was no exception. I also loved the always wonderful Kevin Pollak (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Taylor's father. The depiction of their loving but slightly wary relationship was well done. What a great show Billions is!
