So for those speculating blaming the World Cup on we didn't get any 4K Baseball in June, the schedule page has been updated for July, and there is still no 4K MLB.

Lame.

The link, the chart and associated information are in and have always been in the sticky thread right at the top of this section. @dtv757 does a great job at keeping that thread updated. Everything's sourced in the first post. I highly suggest subscribing to that thread so you'll get a notification whenever anything's added. There's not a lot of irrelevant conversation, so you're not inundated with notifications.

As they often do, DirecTV is airing local stations' coverage of Hurricane Barry on 361-1.

I need to vent!

I've just moved over 1200 miles and had my equipment reconnected. I am adding another 4K set to my bedroom in a few weeks. That room has a C61K installed but no television yet! I'm trying to clarify that an HR54 cannot pass the 4K signal correct? It only goes to 1080p? It now resides where my Sony 940D is mounted. I need an independent C61K for every set connected to the network to receive 4K? They are returning on Friday with another C61K to install in my theater room where my Sony 940D resides! The installer should have known that fact. I'm not using the RVU in the 940D this time, I did when I lived elsewhere.

The HR54 records 4K, it it needs a 4K-capable client to play the 4K recordings. This means a C61K for each 4K-ready TV, or the use of RVU (on TV’s that support an RVU client). Sony has stopped supporting RVU on 2018 and later TV models. I used RVU on my 940D for viewing the occasional 4K broadcast and found it to be perfectly acceptable. I use the C61K on my Z9F, which does not support RVU. Note that the RVU client incurs a monthly equipment charge, just like a C61K, so no difference from a cost perspective.

You can have many C61K, but HR54 will send out UHD[4K] stream only to one C61K. HS17 could serve two C61K.

and dont forget each c61k steals a tuner from the hr54 when its in use
only 3 minis can be in use at any time.
crippling the recording ability of the hr54

TV- Samsung 55" UHD (UN55JU6500FXZA)
service - directv
Receiver - Denon AVR-X2100W,
Speakers -F L/R - Infinity Primus P363, C - Infinity Primus PC351

Mini it's a tuneless client, the server [HR54] is using own tuner(s) for minis [no stealing per se, it's a design to provide tuners to clients at server side!]

Anyone have plans as to how they’ll deal with the loss of CBS if their area is affected? I’m in NY and we are potentially impacted.

I’m hoping a quality indoor/outdoor antenna will pull in CBS.

Well, I have been dealing with the Nexstar dispute that has taken the local NBC station off of DTV in my area. This has continued for over a week now. Fortunately, I have an AM21 with an off-air antenna that allows me to continue viewing and recording the NBC OTA signal.

I have no idea whether the dispute with CBS will affect my area, but OTA protects me from any impact.

Jerry, that’s my issue, even if I can pull in CBS I’ll lose my ability to record. Lucky you, still having an AM21!

Most likely not, the OTA dongle with two OTA tuners does serving by HRxx boxes, perhaps could be streaming to clients like C61k

we will wait for reports from owners of LCC who are running it on different boxes

Im in Raleigh NC and its been out since july 2nd, but ive always used an antenna for cbs and nbc since the quality is noticeably superior to direct tv anyways so i dont even notice it.
