My HR54 is in another room where I rarely see it anymore. Just does it's hard-drive whole-house recording thing "anonymously" now. It used to be connected up to my living room system so I saw it, and what it's doing, all the time. But now I've got a C61K in there. With all that background said, I saw nothing unusual last night in the system. No glitches, nothing amiss. Recording list in place, nothing missing. Five by five.

My HR44 reset itself at 8:47 last evening. Once it came back it was fine. My HR23 and HR24 did not reset.

Had the same thing last night with my HS17. Weird. Wonder what caused so many of us to have the same issue?

Probably doesn't apply, but my H23 is WAAY more sensitive to power line conditions than anything else I own. Here in Florida, Glitchy Power's the nickname for Duke Energy. The bigger glitches send my desktop computers into a reboot, force me to reset some clocks and cause my Yamaha receiver to shut off. Smaller glitches would only send the H23 into a reboot and shut off some external hard drives. Now, all of the DirecTV gear and AV receivers are attached to UPS devices. End of daily reboots. You can see the little glitches come in as it makes the display on the CyberPower box light up.

The TVs only have a problem if it's an all-out interruption.

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.

Wow, a working HR20?! Both of mine died years ago with swollen capacitors. You got a good one!

It may be a 24. I mixed up my numbers. I think I had to ditch the 20 for compatibility some time ago. It is a stand alone DVR. My Genie is a 54.

I would still be using them except, when scrolling thru the guide
they are painfully slow, when the "pretty pictures" show up.
