Schitt's Creek on Amazon

Anyone watch this? I think it originally aired in Canada, but the first 2 seasons are available on Amazon Prime. It is created by Eugene Levy and his son, Daniel Levy and stars Eugene, Daniel, Catherine O'Hara and Annie Murphy as a rich family that lost it all and are forced to live in Schitt's Creek (won't say anything else as to not spoil anything).

It may not be the most hilarious show out there, but being a big fan of SCTV (especially the old stuff), I thought it was quite entertaining. Looks like it was renewed for a 3rd season, and I am looking forward to it. Definitely worth the binge (13 22 minute episodes a season).

My wife and I both love it. It contains some pretty awkward comedy, which when done correctly, can be really funny. I think the entire cast plays their parts very well.

I watched a little when I noticed it advertised but couldn't get into it. Had high hopes as I was a huge fan of SCTV.

I'm a few episodes into season #2 , the reason I checked it out was because I saw that Emily Hampshire(the clerk at the motel) was in the show. Emily is one of the main characters(Jennifer Goines) on the Syfy show 12 Monkeys.

Season 3 started last week on POP TV, or whatever it's called. I didn't even know I had it until I saw Schitt's Creek scrolling last night on my Tivo guide. I get the channel on FIOS. Episode 2 was last night but you can still pick up 1 & 2 this week. I found this on Amazon, too, and like it quite a lot.

Just noticed season 3 on amazon the other day (it happened to be my last search from a couple of months ago, so it came up when I searched for something else). It's not available with prime yet, so I will wait and binge it when it comes out. It's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I just love those two together.

This is on NetFlix now.

I have Prime, but just getting around to watching it.

It has a very slight Green Acres quality.

I just saw the ending of episode 3. (Don't Worry....It's his sister.) LOL!

Been watching this show for a while. I really like Emily Hampshire - started watching this show after looking her up from the Twelve Monkeys credits.

Been watching this on Netflix. Just finished season 1. I really enjoy the show. The characters are hilarious and interesting. I particularly love David, played by Dan Levy who also writes the show (along with others). At first, based on how he plays the character, you can't help but make some assumptions, but there are layers that eventually get unpacked that result in quite a complex and funny role. He is definitely my favorite, but Catherine O'Hara is also quite amazing in her role. It's a perfect character for her to own, and she absolutely does. The premise is original enough, but it's almost like The Beverly Hillbillies in reverse. Glad I checked this out.

My wife and I started watching about a month ago after reading about it in the NY Times, and we are most of the way through season 2. We both think it's great. All the characters which could just be pure stereotypes have something which makes them unique, and it is a very, very funny show. All the actors are excellent.

The show was (still is?) made in Canada. I am a big hockey fan and watch the CBC Hockey Night in Canada feeds most weeks. They were advertising this 4 or 5 years ago as a show on CBC when it started, and it sounded stupid, like something I'd never watch. I'm glad I am now.

Here's a link to one of the articles in the NY Times about the show. The review by Mike Hale wasn't as positive.

Fantastic series finale: I laughed and cried and everyone's stories seemed nicely mapped out. Great job!
