Super Bowl LI on FOX and FoxSportsGo

The game is being telecast in 720p using a number of 4k and 8k cameras for better detail and enhanced-reality replays. FoxSportsGo will have the stream of the telecast in 720p/30fps including local ad insertions in some markets. And there's the VR experience.

Naturally, smartphone availability is exclusive to Verizon subscribers.

For technical comments, include
Station/City (ex: WJBK, Detroit)
Provider (ex: OTA, Comcast, Spectrum, Dish, streaming)
Equipment (iPad, Galaxy 6s, LG 80-inch OLED, etc)

Noticed Luke starting to drag the Anthem. They always change tempo when there's a flyover. Gotta time those things, y'know.

EDIT

Watching S.B. game on the Sacto Fox OTA local 720p picture is better than some reg season games on same local at times but a bit too noisy on distance shots or the turf all the time ,often a soft, noisy ,sometimes rubbish 720p sometimes not bad (varies with the camera ,distance variables and such ) for my best 720p liking ,

^^^^OTOH I'm 3 ft close at the PC desk to this 55" and it looks way better at my normal 9-10 ft evening distance since half time and not half bad for Fox NFL 720p .

Watching on Fox 32-1 Chicago - Xfinity X1, and also did some A/B with OTA.

For all of the talk about Comcast/Xfinity quality, it looks very good.... as good as I have seen on any Fox game.
A/B comparisons show no visible difference between the cable feed here, and OTA.

I checked this on my MITS 65" DLP, and also my Vizio M55-C2... up close.
No complaints here. Not quite up to SNF, but very close.

At half time I finally moved my dumb azzz back from 3 ft close to Sony TV in my sig at the PC desk at the frt. wall to my normal ~9-10 ft evening view distance back in the room and it's all remarkably better this way (not looking bad now ) and maybe better than reg. season games ,in any case it's way better at a normal view distance at 720p anyway .

This TV just spoils me close up on good content

FOX live NFL TV always sucks and today is no difference with the rubbish here today outside of plausible close ups

I'm getting lot of what may be dithering ,compression and image sensor noise here that may just show up as posturization on other TV's but the close ups ain't bad

You can see all the rubbish and lack of fine detail you can't see on most TV's beyond the softer pictures they have anyway in any case but they don't get pin sharp detailed like these Sonys on good content either noting the superlative 1080p plasma in my sig can't touch upscaled 1080p fine detail of the Sony in my sig .

Nothing but another 2015-2016 Sony HDR can touch the fine detail on 1080p upscale or 4K content but Samsung can get real close ,Vizio doesn't play in that sand box , DLP can't come in play in this area either .

I had a 1080p Sony Grand Wega DLP and it can't touch this or my Plasma in any way .
Your old Sony Grand WEGA can't touch the Mits DLP either. Newer sets of course are better, but a properly functioning Mits may have some issues, but properly resolving picture detail is not among them.

I can assure you, that seeing or not seeing anomalies in a TV broadcast are fully within the capabilities of many TVs, including Vizio 2015 M series. It lacks HDR, which is of no use for this particular picture source. Sony makes a some fine sets, and so does Vizio. A lot depends on the series. Last years M series was ranked very highly in many reviews. David Katzmaier ranked the 2015 M series very highly, and in fact the only set that outranked it overall was OLED from LG.

Since I moved my dumb azzzz off the PC desk 3 ft from the 55" screen back to a plausible (my evening ) view distance I agree ,not the best 720p but not bad as 720p goes on a 4K Sony LCD screen from the Sacto. Fox local

Wow. Falcons choked so bad. What was it? 31 unanswered points in the 2nd half? And the overtime rule that can allow one team to win without the other team touching the ball has got to go. Not that it would have mattered, probably, but still.
