I actually watched part of the games today. I saw Pitt coming back on the Jags and figured the NFL office sent out a memo to the Jags to not destroy the ratings bonanza of a Pitt/NE AFC championship. I guess the Jags ignored it.

I fast forwarded through the second half of the Minn/NO game. Wild finish. The best thing is now that stupid horn will be muzzled till next year unless the NFL lets them play it in the SB.

I have no interest in the NFC game next week. I will be somewhat interested in the AFC, but I am not confident that Bortles can continue like this.

If the Jags win, will Chad burn his Dolphins gear and start rooting for his home team?

Having fun playing the new mobile game Volley Village

the Vikings don't have any big name flashy players on defense (or offense for that matter) but they play hard...give Mike Zimmer all the credit...looking forward to the Vikings becoming the first team to play in a Super Bowl in their home stadium...I wonder if the NFL will try and block home fans from buying too many tickets

Following Payton and Brees’ conduct during and since the bountygate fiasco...I was incredibly happy to see them lose like that!

It's required in the rule book for TDs scored in regulation. Not required in overtime.

My Summary for today:

Roethlisberger throws for 400 something yards including three of the best passes and finest receptions of the year scoring over 40 points against the best defense in that conference and a team led by Bortles and still somehow loses.

Stefan Diggs scores luckiest touchdown in history and prances around smirking like he caused an inexplicable whiff to somehow happen.

Me, in the last few seconds of the game: "Well, guess it'll be the Saints marching on"

Me, a few seconds later:

What an awesome and surprise ending! Vikings-Jags SB? Just might be possible!

I really ought to act more like a woman of my advancing years, but I’m growing old disgracefully.

Must be because his teams are always out of the playoffs early so the assistants are available to be hired. Historically, assistants from teams that go far in the playoffs have a hard time getting HC jobs because teams don't want to wait that long as the pool gets smaller, that seems to be changing this year.

Give Andy his due.

He plays by the rules where others don't.

He lost this year because he couldn't stop the run.

But the week after the ref's stopped the run.

These are just my opinions.

I assume the team could line up for a 2 point conversion and then just kneel on it.

Case Keenum, the 46th-highest paid quarterback in the league.

Keenum $1.9 mil and Bradford $18 mil.

Stefon Diggs, the 146th overall pick in the 2015 draft. Diggs went after 18 other receivers.

agreed...Tomlins in game time management really is a head shaker..not calling the time out, then the non onside kick, then just kicking the FG at the end and trying for the onside..not to even mention the debacle against the Pats a few weeks back...just horrible..

but proud of those Jags..Steelers were talking so much junk before the game...this morning at work everyone is talking about the Jags..that was a crazy game..didnt expect that at all...

outside of the Pats blow out,,was a very very good week for the NFL games..cant remember a better divisional round.

That's what the Vikings did. The rule in the NFL is that after a touchdown there is a "Try", the only exception is a touchdown in an overtime period. The Rulebook doesn't have an exception for a score at the end of regulation when the Try can't change the outcome.

More Reid and Tomlin bashing. Both are top ten coaches. I can't find a list that has either coach at the bottom of the rankings.

If they are lucky, then they could pull off the SB upset. That would put them at the height of their valuation. Maybe they could then move to St Louis or similar.

No silly, the Panthers are moving to St. Louis (it's the new LA). So the Jags could move to Charlotte! Which would be especially fitting since they were expansion teams together. Of course, we'd have to build them a new stadium. But Jerry Richardson proved there's a PSL-buying sucker born every minute, so... all hail the Charlotte Jaguars!

Yeah, gotcha' by one. I'd sympathize with you for forgetting to make your pick, but I've been doing that all season. Last week, I did make them but must have forgotten to hit the "save picks" button so I missed all four! Aliens and HairyBee are now tied for third; might be "mathematically impossible" for them to pass us now, so it looks like it's you & me in a fight to the finish, bud.

New England & The Vikes. After yesterday, I'm convinced Mr. Wednesday will make sure His Norsemen are in the SB. Wabo must be running low on goats by now, but he has one more to sacrifice.

And I just can't believe in Philly & Jax; just can't bring myself to do it.
