Yes... the ref's will be throwing plenty of yellow flags to make sure of that. They are the actual* smallest market team in the league, the NFL doesn't want them anywhere near the SB.

The Green Bay market includes Milwaukee, plus The Packers have fans everywhere

Nice thing about being a Pats fan isnt having the greatest Coach ever, or best OB ever or a team first attitude. It's knowing the refs and the league make sure the pats win. Deflategate and spygate were just misdirection so folks don't catch on. Every game the pats play they win because of the Refs.

I think all Pats fans should be a little nervous about the Jags, specially with Old Man Coughlin behind the scenes up there in his dark tower.

The formula for beating the Brady/Belichick Patriots in the Playoffs is very simple. DEFENSE
When they score 20 or more points they are 24-2
When they score less than 20 they are 2-7. One of those wins was in 2001 and the other in 2003

I have the concern Ben will call it quits too. I love watching him play, and this last game illustrates why. Save for that interception (which was a great defensive play), his passing to his super receivers was some of the best exhibition of the art of passing this year. If you like football, you have to want to see more of that. 469 yards against a superlative passing defensive unit speaks for itself.

I really like watching Ben, in his prime I would take him over just about anyone besides Brady Montana and Elway.

Why is it that their opponents don't seem to realize this simple fact? We still see clueless defensive coordinators rushing three against Brady
You might as well just tie the defensive players hands behind their backs at that point as rushing three is completely ineffective against Hoodie and The Goat.

Ben seemed to call out coaching in Pats game and Jags game. It certainly appears someone is leaving before next season. You can question some calls made, and lack of discipline on smack talking players which I think Ben had a problem with, but Id find it hard they would get rid of Tomlin. I see him like Shula in Miami, he'll be gone when he's ready, not because ownership think he's not getting it done, he's beloved there.

I am not sure I have seen this many established coordinators get fired in one year.

Tom Brady was limited in practice today and is on the injury report with a right hand injury. He rescheduled his press conference to see the medical staff. Probably no big deal in the end.

No worries. His private Svengali "doctor" will perform some mystic healing ritual and get him right. It will probably involve ancient chants and ritualized dancing. And lots of kale.

The Jets fired their OC John Morton.

According to La Canfora, Goodwin from the Cards will be the front runner. Haley also worked with Bowles as well. Pitt will probably cave to Ben and give the OC job to the QB coach.

Apparently Haley was considered to abrasive. It should be noted though that the Steelers offense was top ten the last couple of years.

it's not that simple...the key to beating Brady is pressure yes but most teams don't have the personnel to get the right kind of pressure...the Giants have the blueprint...they know how to beat them...you need to be able to rush Brady with your front 4 without blitzing...that way you have your coverage intact...Brady is more uncomfortable then the normal QB when he faces pressure...even just moving him off his spot causes him to panic...Sacksonville wasn't built with defense and a strong running game by accident...Coughlin knows how to beat the Pats...and yes I know that a lot of those defensive players were drafted before Coughlin came back but he has made them into who they are today

as far as Todd Haley getting fired, it looks like he has taken the fall for Tomlin...Jets also fired their offensive coordinator earlier today and rumors are that Haley might be getting the job

I get no pleasure by bursting the Pat's fan bubble but the reality is football is entertainment. Like when I was eight years old and I found the harsh reality about Santa, and some sports do a better job of convincing it's fan base.

Some might call this not believable but are you sure?

Agreed, mutual hatred of a common enemy forms strong bonds!

I can't/won't ever post some of the nasty things I've wished would happen to B&B over the years.
Unfortunately, a min. later take them back saying to myself "that's nothing a decent person would ever ask for to happen to someone else"

In the end it's just a game- it has no bearing on my friends, family or job... that's what I have to keep reminding myself when "they" win.
